I've wanted to check this one out for a long time! Very cool! Is there a single knob for input gain for pre and compressor? I feel like a dunce but didn’t see a typical control for mic pre gain

I've wanted to check this one out for a long time! I’ve debated this piece myself. I look forward to hearing your thoughts on it.

Xotic EP Booster. My guitar skills are minimal, but I've liked the way this pedal has sounded on visiting pedalboards. So I bought one recently with the thought of using it as a "color" insert--so far so good.

Joined Kenny Tamplin's monthly Vocal Academy yesterday. ($1 for the first month! ) Am hoping to win the monthly "Golden Tonsil" Award. Although they've been thinking of taking it out for years. Chris

The separate output allows you to have plenty of gain even if you want a low input to just tickle the compression(compressor can also be out of the chain altogether if you'd like). Also, the input knob pulls out which gives a lower, cleaner input in case the signal you're working with is hitting too much compression even with the input knob turned down low. My only problem with it so far is I want to use it on everything haha, it is such a beautiful sound!

I don't agree with everything he teaches, but he seems to have a good grip on the styles he specializes in, and at least some background in classical training.

I got a second Radial Key Largo to hook up some other keyboards and picking up a Rheem Kee Bass this morning…not the most useful sound but at least it looks cool!

New (old) workhorse - KSM44 for around 3 bones. That was my first mic. I miss it sometimes.

Yeah, reading that post of your in a "microphone graveyard" thread tilted me in that direction somewhat, at least for it being a decent mic, especially for the price. IIRC, you went to a Neumman U87 from there. All things said "worth having." PS: Had to edit my photo because the first picture had the mic saddled backwards - oops.

I've wanted to check this one out for a long time! I had one of those years ago and regret selling it, it’s a nice unit. I *think* it’s what I used for the vocal on Tyler Childer’s album “Purgatory”…but I honestly can’t remember and I didn’t take any notes 😆

I just finished a new DIY desk. I took some inspiration from the Zaor Maestro desks. I think I spend 250$ and that includes the money I spend on a local Carpenter who helped me cutout the pieces. Super happy with the result 🙂

Just bought a Beesneez Elly fet. Sold my Warm WA47. Hated setting up the power supply and shock mount. I wanted something easier to put up and move around quicker.

You want some extra space for the keyboard and mouse. I think it ended up being like 80cm wide.

I have a couple vintage KT inductor EQs (DN22, DN27) and a guitar pedal Shinei - AF17 clone. I absolutely adore that inductor sound. I'm gonna have to check out those Iridiums. Tons of inductors in there (16 for 4 bands! :-)
