Ordered a Hitmaker Comp for the Silver Bullet MKII…interested to see if that combo can replace my plug in mix buss chain when I’m working at home, with is usually the Glue, Silver Bullet plug in, and usually a tape simulator like Satin or ATR-102.

I got a killer deal and free shipping on a Latch Lake 1100 producer pack: View AttachmentWhat an outstanding microphone stand! Do they always include a bottle of booze... Along with the free bookcase? Nice color BTW. No. Thats a frangrance lamp… but for the mic stand price a bottle of fine liquor would be cool. Like my soul…. It only comes in black.

I went a bit crazy at an auction today and bought a ton of stuff, mostly to resell, but hoping to make around $4000 and keep a few things for myself. Loading it all up isn't going to be fun though!
Also ordered a Hologram Electronics Chroma Console and I think I'm going to get an old Musicmaster bass in a trade (fingers crossed...always like those once you put an actual bass pick up in them!)

After I found out how much Vocal/Instrumental "Charts" for Jazz Standard arrangements cost... Snagged two "Original Key" Sinatra songbooks. Around $40 for 80 songs was a relative bargain! Of course eventually, I want to snag some Nelson Riddle/Billy May (dig his Bobby Darin charts too) sorta stuff. Chris P.S. On the more mundane side, got a new weighted $20 mic stand.

I need a few of these at least, badly; the short, amp/floor-tom/snare height ones.

Just got a great deal on a BAE 1073DMP from Reverb. Have always wanted one of these. Love the idea of a super mobile but solid channel, especially one that can handle Bass DI duties without the need for an extra box.

Lynx Aurora (n) 24 channel AD/DA and a Sonnet Echo lll pcie to thunderbolt expansion box What converters were you using before the Lynx? I've been on Apollos for the last decade, and while I don't mind them, I always wonder if I'm missing out on some magic with higher end converters. You always get a mix of people saying the difference is too small to notice or that it's life-changing and will absolutely improve everything you do

A friend was selling a Yamaha YC-10 combo organ and pulled the trigger, sort of in admitting defeat on my Farfisa Compact. The Yamaha is, well, more compact and not as much of a headache.

Late 60s Hofner Verithin with the blade pickups. Real Cool sounding and the tremolo is great. Some German bigsby style.

Nekotronics SL4000 Mk2 Bus Comp delivered today and sitting happily on the inserts of my SB Mk1.
It was between this, a Stam or an Audioscape. Went with this UK builder. Carnhill transfos, Turbo mode, 6x Ratios, 12x Attack, 6x Release (plus Smash mode), 4x HPF plus external, and Mix knob.

That looks like a pretty sweet device. I have no idea why my brain went here, but reading up on that thing made me curious about putting your setup into an endless inception loop. What would happen if you picked off part of the output of the silver bullet and ran it into the sidechain insert of the compressor that was on the insert of the silver bullet? Would that be like the Ghostbusters crossing their streams?

I unwisely followed your suggestion, and am now stuck in 1724, writing this with a quill and ink!

In the last two weeks
Daking fet III Wheatstone 1202a (read below) Vintage Audio MSL (SSL Clone)
On the wheatstone I initially picked one up from guitar center for like $300 but the pots were dirty and really scratchy. The sound was okay but hard to dial in. So, I returned it and moved on.
I ended up seeing guitar center had the unit on sale for $80 so I wound up re-purchasing the unit with the thoughts of worse case I'll mod it. I sent it in to get modded and got it back this week. WOW! It's like a different compressor. Totally punchy, clear and the sound is top notch. I'd definitely pay over a $1000 for it now. Best part is there's two awesome channels I got dirt cheap. Btw Revive Audio did the mod. Great customer service as well.

Yeah a couple of opamps and capacitor swaps and damn!

Idk though my wife had been mean mugging me after spending about $3000 in the last week. She didn't know about the daking yet I snuck a purchase in two days ago, but she'll find out when big brown pulls up on Saturday 😂

Copped pink Gotham GAC-2 mic cables to brighten my day. Also a lime green Gotham GAC-3 mic cable. Standardized on Gotham GAC-3 here years ago.
