Got my pair of Miad LCPQ 4040 Discrete 4 Band Inductor EQs. Wow. These things shine on everything I've tried them on. Box tone itself is gorgeous. EQ is super intuitive and musical. Sold my Curve Bender after a few days of using the Miads. Cool. They ARE awesome. Glad you're digging them. Definitely a sleeper EQ.

I don't recall where I heard of them. I've been going down the mic rabbit hole this week and somehow the internet brought them to my attention : ) Seems like he's put some real thought into the design. I've been after a ribbon with a little extra top end for mando, acoustic, drums, etc. We'll see how this one sounds. Also interested in the Mesanovic and Extinct mics. I'm continually surprised by how many options we have, and they just keep coming. It's an amazing time for gear (if a little financially treacherous). I'll report back! When I looked these up after seeing your post I ended up on the founder’s LinkedIn page. Guy has chemistry background specifically in metals and did a stint at Rayovac doing some manufacturing stuff as well UW b school and Chem degrees. So he know his stuff. Oh, that's cool!

Yeah I asked Ward to take a look at AES, because until I looked at his background I was thinking another made in China ribbon in a nice body ( yeah I’m a cynic). Really nice when someone actually knows what they are doing.

Picked up my second TC Electronic plug-in with desktop USB controller thingy-mcbob, the TC8210 Reverb for $29 at Sweetwater, interested in checking out the imported 4000 presets on it.

Sorta acquired, but built a new rack to reconfigure the left side of my room which is keyboards and pedals. Need more rack space. Setting up the paint Zipwall this weekend to finish it out. Built it all out of scrap I had so win, win. Edit: pieces near the top of the rack areas are there as spacers.

Just a garage, but I get it if that's not your jam at the moment, ericn! My current garage is 6 levels, there is a space 400sq ft in it I could rent for $500 a month, instead I work out on the loading dock, sweep and shop vac after I’m done for the day.

That makes it difficult. The trick is to buy some really long ones and really short or the ones where you use iron pipe. I buy most of my clamps at Harbour freight, just don’t buy the plastic ones!

The best investment was the Kreg Track saw, now I want them to follow Festool’s lead and come out with a router base! Still keep thinking about a cheap CNC.

Used the big Festool track saw to cut the panels for the sides. Was way, way cheaper years ago.

But have you played with the Shaper CNC handheld router they are distributing ?

An independent dealer I know let me convert a downsized file of a baffle with a bunch of the typical stuff I would need it to do, if I had the $ I would but I don’t.

Fender Vibrolux reissue at a good price. Going to try a couple popular mods to reduce the noise/hiss, but a nice sounding amp otherwise. Haven't had a 2x10" in a long time
