I gotta be honest . . . when I first read this, I thought you had typed "How are you liking the big Penis monitors?" The wife is very kinky and rubbing off on me. OK, that sounds kinky too. Oh man! How did I not see that. I’m getting slow. BTW, is your wife free tomorrow night? Forum Rules 6. Do not covet your neighbors wife (And frankly this rule was in place long before this forum.)

Gefell UM70, M70, with a MV692 preamp.
Somehow I keep buying stuff... Even though I should be saving money right now!

Well done. Yeah...I was looking for multipair cable, then about to buy a KM84... Then found these for a good price. 2 mics for the price of a KM. Time will tell if it was a good decision. But it was the best price I have seen in a long time.

As far as a SDC, the 84 might win out by a bit, but the UM70 always seams to put a smile on my face.

I am continuing my quest to add enough high-quality mic stands. I don't know why I allowed myself to suffer with such garbage stands for so many years.
So in addition to the Latch Lake 1100 I added a few weeks back, I picked up a K&M 210/9 late last week. I already love it enough that I ordered two more from the same 210 family yesterday. BUT - the two I ordered yesterday came from the Used section at B&H. Man, they were really good deals on a "9+" and a "10" used rating. Like almost half off.
There is a different kind of satisfaction for me in buying equipment like this: Hardware vs. software or plugins. Heck, there's a different kind of satisfaction for me in buying something like a stand vs. a compressor. Something I'll really be putting my hands on frequently, and directly relating to capturing a performance.

I get it: solid gear inspires confidence and the feel of the gear quality is a big part of that.

I've had to throw away two pieces of budget "gear" actually tools in the past 2 days so I'm reminded of things that don't break.
Got a new Wolfbox for sale, DWA DI is what I call them, this one with an A55J transformer, I'll put up a page for it in a minute on the classified forum. It's not new gear for me personally but it is new brand new gear. Thanks to RGO for supporting my micro-business.

Picked up a CAD E350 in great shape. Replaced the rechargeable batteries and waiting for a full charge. I know it's not high-end, but have been wanting to find one for quite a while, and hoping it's a good addition to what is becoming a very small and focused vocal mic locker.

At times, a useful backing vocal microphone!

A couple of trs to trs snakes coming to finally get things wired into my interface and patch bay. And, other than maybe a Silver Bullet, I think I might be good for a while.
Well, and maybe an @audiscape Vcomp and a used beater tele or G&L bluesboy to hopefully start playing out again but then, .... then I think I might be good.

I always chuckle when someone's done for a while, lol. It's a lofty goal, certainly.

The audioscape V-Comp is a WAY better buy than an opto. You can achieve the same gain riding and add secret sauce to the sound!

Yeah, sounds like the shutdown delayed them a bit. From what everyone says, worth the wait. Received mine today. ADI2's. Took about 4.5 hours to get them in place on the coasters. Holy shit though. Worth every bit of wait/cost. I thought I had some detail going on, but I was wrong. Also thought I had some bass nodes I couldn't solve in the back of the room. Gone. Not trying to sprinkle magic here, but I am so amazed by what a difference the Sound Anchors have made. Incredible. Edit: assembly time is placement in the room, etc. Physical assembly was pretty quick. Edit edit: Another additional note - would recommend putting them in the garage or something for several days first. They're still off gassing which is not cool.

Anything bigger than an SDC and you get droopy boom arms. Maybe I just got a bad batch. Anyone know a remedy?
