Sound Anchors, Pro Tools HD Native and a Furman P-2400 IT. Still waiting on the Sound Anchors. Balls. I have had a pair of sound anchors on order as well. Yeah, sounds like the shutdown delayed them a bit.

All three audioscape MEQs in the rack. But wait . . . there's more. (PS the Warm EQs are not stock, they are donor chassis) My audioscape rack. Well, there is a patchbay, a power strip and my Pelonis power amp for my monitors but still........ How are you liking the big Pelonis monitors?

They aren’t “loud” but certainly loud enough for me as I am way past the loud listening stage of my younger days. I have no frame of reference in regards to other nice monitors because these are the first really nice monitors I have ever had. They seem very accurate and detailed in that I can hear very small changes in volume, eq, fx, panning etc. when mixing tracks now. They are not fatiguing at all and are a complete joy to listen to. I am extremely happy. Things seem to “pop” out of the speakers that I have not really noticed before.

My 42 monitors are just like that -- but you have those additional low drivers pushing <75 Hz right at your face!
I bet that sounds really nice!!

It’s like they have plenty of bottom end but it’s not “hyped” at all. If you hear bass in them, you are gonna have plenty of bass when you listen elsewhere. They just tell you what you are doing in a very pleasing, easy to listen to way.

How are you liking the big Pelonis monitors? I gotta be honest . . . when I first read this, I thought you had typed "How are you liking the big Penis monitors?" The wife is very kinky and rubbing off on me. OK, that sounds kinky too.

Tripp-Lite USB 2.0 A to B cable with ferrite chokes. They lowered the self-noise in my KRK V6S4 instantly. The background is blacker in my MOTU AVB interfaces over USB. I highly recommend anyone who uses USB without ferrite chokes moves to cables that do so.

FWIW budget under $1000 and starting over ... First LDC I'd purchase, without a doubt. Chris

Added two more Daking Mic pre II’s so that I will have enough Daking goodness to track myself and the two guys that play with me live. All I really need/want that’s left to get is a Silver Bullet. I think tracking through the Dakings and then doing my buss mixing with the SB will give me a nice sound.

If I had to start over that would be my first mic. A good 47 FET is a different beast from the Lauten. While I can’t gush about the tone of the 47fet amp as an all around mic at the price of vintage examples, at this price with the Hieserman Capsule a pair would be pretty damn tempting. I still would be tempted to go the Gefell M7 route, but the price of this thing just makes it something I really want to play with. Now Vincent go convince them you need a demo.😁

Well ericn, you know I would be game to demo it. Lol. Yeah a pair of these would be stellar for a bunch of applications. As for the Atlantis, I just think it would be a better general use mic and in the Neutral voicing sounds an awful lot like a FET 47 with an even bigger low end.

I like the tone, as an entry level mic, but I see the Atlantis as a mic I would trade up for something special. These I think would be keepers. I have said for years the 47fet isn’t a bad mic, Neumann just shouldn’t have called it a 47, because that put a very high expectation on it, that very few mics could live up to. The 47 part is what has always kept the vintage 47fet prices higher than they should be, somebody always thinks it’s a bargain 47. I almost grabbed one about 13 years ago for $1800, but at the time that would have been the same price as 2 used Gefel 71’s.

2x ADC ProPatch E90 TT bays. After all the resoldering on the last bay reconfigure, the price was right to try out a modular bay.

IMHO U47 FET style through a Tube Pre (or quality Plug), does have a 47 "Tube-ish" tone. In any event, preferable to U87ai on me. But not entirely a long run replacement for a quality U47 Tube Clone, for us vocal Mic fanatics! Chris
