Just picked up a 1 watt Marshall head.
I have wanted a Marshall since maybe 1977. Now I have a wee one.
Cheers, Geoff

Excuse me if I repeat anything from before. A mint time capsule Telefunken U47 from ‘56. Retro 2A3 NOS tubes love it. Buzz Audio DBC in black that sounds so great. Stam SA 1178 & the SA609 both are seriously made I love the little twists on the Stam stuff too. Waiting for the new stereo Fultec and the SA800g. Lots of DIY mics I’ll upgrade. Won’t need to upgrade the Vamisound’s though as they come with such quality parts. The Zvukofor Tanhx desktop saturator which will be fun fore mangling and saturation. The Phoenix Audio Ascent 2 which is like Neve up a level. Some more synths and modules. 2 AML 1081 500 series I’m really looking forward to using. An old Selmer bass and guitar amp head. 2 Weight Tank 72’s. The new Earthworks bass drum mic that is stunning compared to anything I’ve ever heard. 2 Periscope mics that will be in the room for anything I ever record now. Changed my Serpent Splice’s for Blueys as they are so much more easy to navigate and sound as good for that Rev A or B sound. Various European tube mic pre amps. I have a shopping list for Beesneez which I’m really excited. I guess that’s most of it I can think of. I hope you can share some drums with the AML 1081 500 series. This look awesome and I know you do a lot of drums

Not new but sort of. Took gwlee7 's advice and took my 40-year-old Jackson Randy Rhoads Custom (#618) and beloved Epiphone Sheraton II to the guys at Murphy's Music in Irving, TX and had the RR tuned up from ages ago when my good friend and RR fan put a block under the Kahler which f-d it up despite good intentions and had the Sheraton completely refretted. Bought the latter in '96 and like many Epiphone's if you get a good one it's golden. Murphy's absolutely killed it and it plays amazing now. Jackson gets a wall mount. So good to have it preserved and plays amazing still. Love the Epiphone Sheraton II - mine is a very early one plays like a dream and has a fabulous tone - they really don't make em' like that anymore

Dag. Hard to act to follow. Here's my lowly singular new gear... Looks Stamtastic! May I ask what brand of patchbay are those units and which patch leads are you using? Thanks

Looks like Redco and Redco. We’ve 15 of those bays and 100s of those Redco molded-ends on Mogami cable.

I just got a DIYRE Colour Palette 500 series module in the mail. They’re raising the price of it, right after this sale. I think I’ll go for an Implode, MN-50, and Toneloc Colour modules when the time comes.

Bought a pair of Dynaudio Core 59 monitors. Should have them tomorrow. It's one of those purchases that I hope goes well. They may end up being too large for me studio but I really wanted to give them a try.

Got some new knobs for my AML 5003D. Not terribly exciting I know, but I do like the feel of an all aluminum knob better than plastic. It all started when I received the original preamp (direct from AML) and one of the knobs was cracked. That made it loose and I was unable to tighten it because of the crack. I think it got damaged in shipping or maybe just overtightened in assembly. Anyway, I've had different knobs on it ever since. But when I picked up a second, I thought they should match. That's when my search led me to Stompboxparts.com. These are the "small solid aluminum" knobs. I got some in purple too but kinda liked the red. I could have just gone with boring black I suppose. Anyway, they do feel better when adjusting.

I bought an EMT 140. What’s wrong with me. But, they don’t come up for sale too often at a price I can afford so I thought “why not”
I also traded a Stratocaster for a Ford Ranger pick up truck…it needs a little love but I need something for some projects around the house and it’ll come in handy!

This took awhile, but Eric and Dave at Heiserman were super cool about keeping me updated. They have had a lot going on in their personal lives that caused some delays. Nothing serious, just colds and shit that takes us all out now and then. First stop is a female Latin pop star I'm not familiar with that my buddy's doing some vocal sessions with in the next few days. He randomly pinged me the day it was to be delivered to ask if I had mine. Her management company wanted the 251 option so it's with him for a few days. If I get clearance clarence after the sessions I'll report back on who the artist is. The build quality is stunning and can't wait to use it myself and hear my friend's work with it.

Ok, my Jet. The top is a drum wrap. Also the little one watt Marshall head I picked up only has a 16 ohm out and my cabs are 8 ohm. Most things I have read suggest running it into my cab shouldn’t be a problem. Not ideal perhaps, but probably won’t blow it up. Thoughts? Cheers, Geoff

Cheers, Geoff It shouldn’t, speakers rated impendance is always “ nominal” the actual load is all over the place depending on frequency. So a nominal 8 ohm speaker is all over the place. Decent amp and transformer designers take this into account, so the 16ohm tap on a particular amp may in fact be a better choice for a nominal 8 ohm cab depending on design choices and the actual load.

The last couple weeks have been pretty crazy for me gear wise through trades, some sweet used deals and some new stuff… -Jamracks mastering desk and stands -Audeze LCD-X -IK ARC Studio -Beesneez B67-269 ver 2 -Pair of Locomotive WT-72’s Extremely happy with each of these and feel like I’ve finally completed my ‘needs’ list…until GAS convinces me otherwise.
