When I said she was commercial, I meant something similar to Tony, the music was good, but far from original, but at least her voice was great, so she does have potential. She needs to put on a few Lucinda Williams, a Patty Griffin CD and finish up with Emmylou's Red Dirt Girl, that oughta point the right way for her.

I'm sure you guys will hate this but I love this girl. I don't know if that's her on the backing vox as well but it's some great harmonies. This is one of the few songs I like on the local country station.

Right now I'm watching Zac Browns's southern ground and food festival on cable and this band "The head and the heart" are currently playing. I don't think their monitors are working

I watched that Zac Brown concert last night and I was extremely impressed with their musicianship, harmomy vocals and production. It bordered on Progressive Country.

I actually enjoyed Kenny Chesney's last couple of albums. Not all of it, but I thought there were some good songs on there.

When I hear the ubiquitous bVII, IV, I progression, I almost instantly tune out. It's what people write when they run out of musical ideas, it's rarely anything more than generic, like a white blues equivalent of a I IV V progression. No offense jsteiger, but I find this so typical, unoriginal, and a bit whiney. This sounds like an ad for one of those pulp paperback romance novels brought to TV. Within the contemporary "Country" genre, a group like The Civil Wars know how to knock your head back.
