It'll take massive convincing for me to ever believe that someone has gotten an LA3a clone right!! You would think after all this time, right? I mean, I own a completely convincing LA2a clone in the STAM SA2a but I have yet to come across a convincing LA3a clone. I agree with tonycamphd that there is magic in an LA3a - acoustic and electric guitars. And to replicate it for under $500? I am an extremey doubting Thomas this morning, Bah Humbug. get your hands on a Serpent SA3A when you can. they're the truth!

Are you guys throwing the sa3a on the bus or are you using it to track or...? I guess my question is is anyone using just a mono unit or do you need to get w stereo to feel its full potential?

Yes, I have many times. Now I see the component kt is 'back by popular demand' but doesn't contain all necessary components. Can't they just make it more user friendly and thus easier to sell by selling a COMPLETE kit? I mean, I don't know everything about business but I find that the more I offer, the better my sales are.

What so many don't get about the world of DIY is that these are not big companies these are guys maxing out their credit cards to bring you the pieces to the puzzle that you can't get at your generic parts house. I would be surprised if the majority of the guys who bring us these boards are breaking even! When you sit down and realize the time and money Somebody like Jeff has invested in CAPI you realize We should all make damn sure he never pays for his own drink again!

Ok Jeff jsteiger, if you show up at NAMM and SSL gets my passes' problem sorted out (that's another long long story, but I hope & pray they get it fixed) I'll buy you drinks!
