Regarding the Sta-Level - during one of their customer surveys, I requested they work with Phil Moore to get a Retro suite going. Or, in lieu of that, Work on a 175B, since, you know, that's their own dang compressor. The 176B is the one piece of analog gear I have not been able to reasonably simulate and still miss. The asymmetry function along would be worth it.
For the poster asking about hiding channels - it is doable on this version, but it took some digging - I can't recall exactly how off hand, but I stumbled into it when trying to hide some stuff I don't use.

I asked a ? at ua forum about how people were setting up C2 for external HW; seems more straightforward ?
Dan provided this answer :
"Kcat, this afternoon I sent channel 1 to line 7 out. (In Console.) Ran a TRS from the line 7 line-out jack to an outboard device, and brought the signal back into channel 8 in on a Apollo Quad. It worked fine. No Aux needed. No noticeable latency.
I also ran a guitar into Hi-Z 1 - without FX inserted - pulled up the Aux at that channel, and put FXs on the Aux. Then opened 2 new tracks in the DAW, had one of them take channel 1 as its input source, and had the other track take the Aux as its input source. Hit record and viola one signal, recorded wet and dry with UAD plugs. Didn't need the Cues."

MJH One would have to think Phil must not be into it...It seems like a really logical relationship...
