He wants to do a mic shoot out with me and I'm trying to get him to help me rebuild my studio. I don't think he ever sleeps. |

It was a fun time had by all. Thanks to Randge for hosting and thanks to everyone who showed up! I would say about 30-40 people came throughout the afternoon. I'll post some pics and we will have to see when Randy can get sound files up. Randy, you can just send me a Cubase session and I can bust them out individually. |

BTW - the FC526 is a HUGE hit...the ultimate tracking compressor. Tons and tons of headroom. They have the ability to reach massive amounts of gain reduction with absolute transparent gain reduction. The units have a color - depending on the opamp - but the gain reduction is mostly transparent. Also, the tone doesn't get smaller when it's pushed harder - it stays absolutely consistent throughout the dynamic range. Really, really impressive.

I did take Cowboy with me but he drove back home around midnight. I stayed and played music till 3:30 am. So, sorry that I wasn't here to give a report any sooner. I will be checking out Svarts stuff this afternoon and hope to fill you guys in on my findings there this evening. R |

Overall consensus this week was these comps are amazing. It might sound funny coming from the guy who is producing them but proof is in the files that Randy will he posting.
Thanks so much to Randy for hosting the event!! Many thanks to the amazing players who shared their skills as well as Johnkenn and all who came out to hang!!! I hope we can do something similar again soon!!!
