Nice -- glad he kept the general pultec look/colors. I wonder if the boost/cut knobs are fully variable or detented. Love the additional frequencies too.

I need a WA-2A in my life. The Pultec is great, but I've already got a stereo Pultec style eq. Probably end up with one in my rack eventually anyway. WA-2A though...mmmm.

I will get at least one of these. But the WA-2A, PLEASE make that one next. My vocal and bass recording chains would be complete. Unless you also want to make a WA-3A?

Reviving this thread.
For those of you in the know, I've got a question. I'm very tempted by the Warm Pultec, however, I have here a nice Retro 2A3 stereo unit that I love, especially on the mixbus, but also on vocals and bass. Has anyone used the two and compared it? Since I spent a nice dime on the Retro already, does it make sense to spend more on the Warm Audio unit (except for the killer look)? Advice is appreciated.

hmm.. do I really need this? It sure does look great, and I know Bryce, he gets it right, or we don't get it. I have the WA76 and the Tone Beast, so the EQP-WA would make it a trilogy.
How would I use it, EQ on the way in to my DAW I suppose? You'd need two to EQ the mix, no?

Is the Q for the Highs, Lows, or both?

Thought this had extra freq points to make it more versatile ? have you listened to Zeno audio demo ?

It does have extra frequency points. Kind of like having a MEQ-5 mixed in there.
I'm tempted. Couple of these on the MixBus would likely be fantastic.

I got 2 on the way, very nice specs, , its also a gain amp, does the pultec trick, real good tubes, cinemag transformers designed by the owner to emulate the original as much as possible, i think they are flat from something like 40-40,000 cycles, so very nice for tracking, mono, stereo and across the mix buss.

The thing that this does.. that you don't know you need, until you use it.. is tighten and sweeten the bottom end of everything it touches...
You set cut and boost to about 4.5 on each dial and then click the low end selection and one of them will be Goldilocks... just right!
I tell ya, at the US price this thing is... grab a few.
cheers

Have not tried one yet, but it's on the list of must haves! I look at the Warm EQ just like the wa76 , can you have tooooooooooo many? Look I always remember guys dreaming of a console full of Pultec 's well now you can have a rack full of them without breaking the bank ! Man 12, Pultecs, and 1176s some API and CAPI and Neve with a sweet 40 ch line mixer could get me to say bye bye to the The Status and DDA!
