Love this! Good idea Tony. Like Tim I’m disabled at the moment, possibly for the rest of my life. I’m in the hospital at the right now with a fractured spine. That’s only half of my problem, in a medical procedure about a year ago doctors made a mistake, and a stent came loose and was running around my bloodstream , cutting my internal organs. I now have all the organs in my abdomen protruding about 6 inches outside my body trying to burst through, and they probably can’t fix it , so I will be disabled for life now. I pray that I can get back to something functional, where I can stay home and do some recording and mixing. Right now I couldn’t make myself a cup of coffee. Seeing some of these wonderful posts has brightened my day and made me just a little more hopeful , so thanks for thinking of this Tony. It’s good to see some fun included in all our efforts to enjoy our music work and for sharing of our experiences. Damn it long hospitali stays are my thing Bro! Best wishes my friend!

Here's the Krazy Kommie K47-ish 219. On vocals, this Stock Oktava's best use IMHO... Is on medium to heavy Compressed vocals. As it has a major dip in the Sibilance realm. Chris Just for a lark... Sent this "off the cuff"/one take 219 vocal to J.J. Blair. Unbeknownst to me the actual guy who wrote/sang "Sister Golden Hair" was right there, listening with JJ when he opened the file!! (I name check Klaus BTW) Chris

Well I can't get to my mic locker right now because a bicyclist in Amsterdam ran me down and broke my pelvis a couple of weeks ago and I am still in a wheelchair
Best wishes for a fast recovery!

Healing thoughts and prayers to MJB too. We're very fortunate to have you here! Chris

Wildest thing I have - 1932 Carrier Microphone Company omni condenser. Really good out in front of a drum kit and on acoustic bass. Pair of 864 tubes. Had to make the female Cannon 'F' connector after 10 years of trying to find one - truly unobtainium. 10lbs! Samar MF-65's in the Blumlein mount. I got these when they were the only Samar product. Sennheiser MKH horizontal B-format arrray - Ambisonics with no vertical Sennheiser MKH Blumlein and AB omni's ...and the wildest thing I've built up - MS with 2 blendable mid options, AB omni outriggers, and a near-coincident spot shotgun - worked well.

The Sony C535’s C35 & C36 came back early from a rental without their Ziplock bags and silca so I decided a quick pick with what’s sitting here at the apartment would be nice Also included 2 little Blonde omnis MBHO 648 with KA 1000 Omni lollipop capsule Audix / MBHO TR40 measurement mic, with its own calibration file. EV 664, from 1966 I need to make a cable for this. Case is a Seahorse 710, all mics live in either one of the 5 710s or one of the 3 deeper 720’s all currently have diced foam, but the plan is to have custom foam inserts cut, the Rycote Lyra mounts I bought are not pictured because they did not come with the plate for a mic stand mount, found the studs for cheap just need to cad the bases and have a friend 3 d print them. On the subject of 3D printing I’m thinking of drawing up a bunch of plastic copies of the knobs API uses for the DDA just to piss Larry off😎 replay.dropbox.com/share/4qjiyutxWKplvcPr

Martin,
It has broken my heart many times recently to see you having to sell your gear to pay for medical bills.
I have always enjoyed hearing your work. I too wish you as speedy and complete a recovery as is possible. You seem to be addressing your challenges in a positive spirit, at least from what I can tell from your posts. Don’t hesitate to give me/us a shout anytime.
Cheers, Geoff

My Gefell UM900 phantom powered tooooob microphone. Not sure why the picture is so small, but the mic itself is very large, the lollipop head basket has to be 4" diameter at least.

I believe, especially with that mount, that is the best looking mic in production. What do you like it on? How would you describe it? I think it's an M7 capsule...
