I was in touch with Ben this morning about a CK12 order for some mics I'm about to build and he sent me some preview pics of this... gorgeous... thing he's been working on. Thought y'all might be interested.

Given Ben's superb reputation, my bet is that it will sound great and be at a very fair price!
This is exciting!

Assuming nothing was built (except cap) pre his floating the idea recently, that's a mountain of work right there, Make it right up there sound wise and you'll have a big hit Ben

To be honest, I have been working on this one for quite a while but I didn’t dare breathe a word until I knew I could gather and produce the sum of all parts! If I spilt the beans too early, either everyone would get bored or I’d get pressured too hard for a delivery date and hope not to fall short. I have 30 sets in the line at the moment being assembled. I just need to settle on which transformer I will use and she’ll be ready to go. Sonically, she’s already a killer, I am just spending a little time on girth v air…. On the bright side, I managed to source a company that had set of injection tooling for the internal parts (all the pretty clear stuff) so that is a major time and currency boost for this project. It will help me to keep the price well below expectations! Thanks Ben

The general consensus and my experience at the moment is that Moby makes the most accurate transformers.

Chessparov predicts... 30 doesn't last long. (I remember it well) Same for those 251's! Chris
