The McDSP sale went live today. Up to 75% off depending on the product. Their 6030 compressor, which is ten models in one that let's you click through the different models is on sale for $29. It something I've used since I got into Pro Tools and still shows up in most mixes. Nice! I’m finally going to update to V7 if it’s only $29. The 6030 is still one of my favorites. |

Kush has some stuff on sale. I’m vaguely interested in the Distressor influenced one. I’d upgrade my no longer functional Clariphonic if they dropped the price on that but they didn’t so I won’t.

Goodhertz sale 35% off starts tomorrow Anything of theirs that people particularly like? I'm looking at Tupe and the dither plugin They are all great. I don't use them a ton other than the Mid Side plugin and Dither regularly. But they are always inspiring and fun to use when they do get used. Tupe is great, they new Tupe WOW i just got so haven't tried it yet. Dither is awesome. I'm hoping Soothe 2 goes on sale.. |

Anyone tried Low Control from Black Salt? I'm looking at it going, come on, it's one band of a mb compressor and a Lo-Air/Renn Bass type thing that I completely don't need. And yet, it just works really well, and most importantly FAST. Damn you Black Salt! I swore off plug-ins for a while and you're testing my faith.

Yeah, I've used the living daylights out of the 6030. It's how I got interested in diode bridge compressors, which eventually led to an RND 2454... from a $40 plugin to a $3500 piece of hardware. I used the McDSP sale to update a freebie EC-300 license to V7 for $22. It's got all the Futzbox filters built-in if you turn off the delay time, and I was kinda bummed my V6 wasn't updated for M1 Silicon.
Also bought that TC Electronic Icon Series Legacy Native Bundle for $129. I already had the TC 8210 Reverb plug-in with the little USB controller, but it was the pre-iLok version that needs the controller plugged in every 30 days. PIA, I've got their Master X plug-in/controller as well, but it runs off a regular iLok authorization. Kind of a nag purchase to replace that 8210 license with the hassle free version, plus add the 2290, DVR 250 and 1210 sans hardware controllers for cheap.

I think someone already stated this but Plug-in Alliance has a $29 deal going on. I’m thinking of getting their Ampeg Plug-ins. I could use some bass amp sims and I hate amplitude from IK.

I went with the FabFilter Total Bundle (sold my Pro-Q3 and Pro-MB license to a friend to offset the cost), some Goodhertz stuff, took a flyer on the Safari Pedals stuff, Soothe 2, and the new Tokyo Dawn filter bundle, and the Fuse Audio Labs Plate 140...I think I'm done with plugins for a long while!
