This might be the first year that I don't spend money on holiday plugin deals.

Ok, to put it another way, any that you are particularly anticipating if they have a Black Friday discount? Cheers, Geoff First one that comes to my mind is Sound Radix. I’m planning to upgrade to Auto-Align 2. I have the whole bundle. I can recommend all of them. They all do something. Auto Align 2 is a good upgrade if you use it manually and don't let it go nuts.

Good thinking. Especially as I have zero experience with the hardware. Cheers, Geoff

Bottom line : is there anyone who puts things on sale first of November who doesn't have at least an equal sale on Black Friday? It's always better or at least the same.

I’m planning to upgrade to Auto-Align 2. Man, I had high hopes for Auto Align 2. To be fair and transparent, I’ve only tried the AA2 demo on a couple sessions’ drum tracks thus far, but it hasn’t blown my hair back. I still preferred the individual track polarity flips to get the biggest and most cohesive drum sound. And AA2 kinda just sounded like what AA already does (which is great on lots of things, I use it mostly on guitars and bass) but with a slightly quicker workflow. I dunno. Jury is out for me on AA2.

This might be the first year that I don't spend money on holiday plugin deals. I admire your fortitude. Given I haven’t bought anything in a decade I’m playing a bit of catch-up. Alas my wants exceed my budget. Cheers, Geoff

This is interesting to hear - thanks for sharing your perspective. I haven't actually demoed the new version, so maybe I should do that. I don't use the original on every song I work on, but I do like what it does when it suits the track.

So, I got the Softube Zener limiter Bender deal as I had a good upgrade price of $99, this also includes the Console 1 version .

Kazrog right now.
Their Langevin EQ 252A Graphic Equalizer is only $19!
True Dynamics, True Iron, and KClip are $25 each
Avalon VT-747SP (a compressor and EQ) $69

Scaler EQ available with introductory price at Pluginboutique, and you can rent to own. 4 euros/month. It seems to be pretty cool. Distinctive features. Its sound is... Its Sound. But it can have its place. I guess if you cut only, the digital murky sound is less of a problem, and the tool is still relevant to cut some mud before boosting in the hardware realm. xxx

I’m definitely grabbing one of the UAD bundles next week. Just waiting to see what the best deal ends up being. I’ve been out of UAD for years. Demo’ing some of the native stuff over the past month reminded me of how much I like (generally) the way UAD stuff sounds. There’s a sort of house sound. A little cartoonish, but in a good way. Their stuff sounds meaty, overt.

Check the net price of first buying a cheap bundle then the deal above vs buying on sale the actually plugs you want ?

Posts on the purple place say the "Crossgrade from any bundle" deal I posted works even if you only have the free LA-2A given away last month.

Their stuff sounds meaty, overt. Had to boot the free LA2A off of a project last night as the artist found it a bit too overt. I have to say, I think she was right. Funny how an attended session raises the stakes and refocuses your listening. So many threads about clients being wrong, and certainly that happens, but they are so often RIGHT as well. That said, the UA 1176 AE beat out Pulsar on vox, so that's $50 well spent.

Not necessarily a BF offer but 8dio's "1928 Steinway Piano" is free.

Waves (gasp) has been running weekly $19.99 specials this month, and you can get those down to $17.~~ at plug-in discounts. I finally picked up MV2 last week for that price. Funny you guys mentioned MV2...I just bought last week for $29. It really is a cool comp with the upwards compression.
