That 251 would find the whole move. Oh no JK. I have a number of things that are on the "don't ever sell list". The 251 and 660 are at the top of that list!

Yes indeed. We closed on a house there last week. West side of town on 7 acres so room to do whatever we want. It will be a slow process though spanning a few years. Studio/capi building first. Once that's done, we will most likely be demoing the house and building from the ground up. I think I've got the wife convinced to make the move, too. Especially after this past endless winter in Chicago. I lived in Murfreesboro for 2.5 years back in the mid-to late-'90s while attending MTSU, and loved it. I hope it happens in a year or so, after my step-son graduates from high school. We're shooting for Franklin, where I did my internship at Dark Horse. channelcat Wait, hold on, stop the presses. You interned at Dark Hourse? Holy shit that place is amazing! It's also for sale. Maybe you should buy it?? I think its only 5.5M. Seriously, that is my dream studio inside and out. I think we are neighbors now aren't we?

When I say "inside and out", I mean the physical studio structure, not necessarily the gear. I'll keep my API and my mics.

I was fortunate to intern at Dark Horse in the summer of '97, when Robin started renovating the horse barn. I've got some cool pics of the early build-out. Such a cool place! I didn't realize he was selling it. I just pulled up the DHR website a couple weeks ago, and learned about his recording program. He's worked with so many interns from so many schools (not just MTSU) that I guess it made sense for him to put together his own program.

Uh,what am I NOT gassing for? If I suddenly had $10 grand fall into my lap (as opposed to the opposite happening due to the d-vorce) Id be sporting a Purple 10 space rack with a pair of Capi pres, the Serpent LA3s (pair) and the Kush Electa eqs. Unless I went all Awtac for the pre/eq/comp. Then a pair of filters - maybe Brad's Chop shops, and the last two spaces either more eq or a different flavor of comps. Hey Geoff (and tonycamp too!), I'm honored that you are gassing for some Chop Shops. I have some good news for you. We are having a big weekend sale on Chop Shops to celebrate the incessant IED detonations that will be occurring across the street. The price is kind of stupidly low, but my brother was feeling generous. Brad Sadly, I did just give several thousand dollars to a divorce lawyer yesterday. So, I'm going to have to pass on this - and everything else - for the foreseeable future until I have a better idea how this is going to all shake out. Good luck with the sale though! Cheers, Geoff

Geoff, sorry to hear of your troubles. I went through it twenty years ago. Lost everything I had worked for but made it through and have been able to re-group. You'll get past it. Good luck.

I'm suffering from negative gas right now. It's the first time in my life. I have some other investments I want to make, so I'm going to selling a bunch of stuff...guitars, amps, studio gear, everything.
I'm trying to convince myself that I really do need to keep my U67 though.

It's nothing scary. I simply want to invest in my future and the new business, so some downsizing is required.
I'm working on putting together a list of stuff for sale, but some of the notable items will be 8-channel custom Sontec EQ, UBK Fatso, Transient Designs TD4, A Designs P1's, API 553 clones, GSSL compressor, DIY LA2A, RCA 77DX, Royer SF12. There's a bunch more.

Hey Patrick, We are here for you when you are ready. I can't promise those sale prices will be seen again anytime soon though. Cowboycoalminer--I'll have to work up a list and post it in the classifieds. There's going to be a lot of good stuff! I won't be selling everything, but I will be downsizing considerably. I have access to some really great studios in the area so there's just no need for me to sit on so much stuff and have to pay rent for my own spot, you know? Brad

Negative GAS here, too of sorts.
Stripping down to an artist set up. My keyboard, laptop....some small IO USB box....with a little rack with the stereo IO (pre/EQ/limiter/ADC/DAC). And debating the limiter. It's worth a chunk of money with all the vintage fever...and I really just use it for vocals sometimes. Hardly critical to the sound as a whole.
I used to HAVE to have the big room of gear to accomplish what I needed as an artist.....don't need that any more.

I'm thinking about letting some stuff go: Marshall heads x4 (or more) Cameron CCV prototype Soldano SLO100 4x12 cabinets x6 (give or take) Historic Les Pauls x4 Rivera Rock Crushers x5 (huh? True) My collection of guitar equipment is ridiculous, I could provide a killer backline for a major band. Silly.
