Ahh...GAS is a funny thing that is rarely logical. I find myself wanting to build a new rack mounted PC...as it all begins to shrink, and yet, the mixes of my own stuff I posted MIGHT have broken the 50% CPU mark on my current ancient C2Quad at 88.2. But, I figure while Win7 is still supported on new hardware...and you can still get a couple chipsets with native PCI slots--which will keep me in cheap ass IO for a long time....and I need to rebuild my workstation now, so...the OS/app/install build time is already gonna happen...still...there's this great big "why?" in the logic loop. It's a good TIME to do what isn't wholly necessary. ...but, I just think....I'll put it in a 3U rack case...all SSD....make it near silent...4ghzx4 are the new budget end of the i7 intel CPUs...stock...8 threads of 4ghz. Mmm....I can GAS that up good... And, still....Goldtop Les Paul with P90s. Just because I've never had a P90 guitar...in all my years of electric playing...and since I have no use for a LesPaul with HBs--I figure maybe that's a cool combo--short scale length, mahogany, but bright single coil PUs.... But, both of those GAS's have been kinda long time running...and just too flawed. Finances aren't so good now...so...they will likely remain GAS for a while.

So when/if I do it again, it'll be a totally fresh start. Oh, and I forgot the Pluto Plate Reverb! Gaseous!

Yeah, looks like some very good reviews and sound clips from what I've seen/heard. Haven't played one myself but it seems to have that similar smooth but modern overdrive tone like the Badger. The clean tones have had rave reviews with people remarking how blown away they are for a low wattage amp. Seems to be a great studio amp.

After 40 years of GAS and 5 years of DIY, over 75 builds including a complete console rebuild, NOTHING But I am chomping at the bit for the new Corvette. Being a first year, completely new car, I going to wait for next years model, to let them work out any bugs.

A sure indication that I am indeed suffering from a low grade fever is that nothing is coming immediately to mind...

We closed on a house there last week. West side of town on 7 acres so room to do whatever we want. It will be a slow process though spanning a few years. Studio/capi building first. Once that's done, we will most likely be demoing the house and building from the ground up.

Thanks man! I am trying my best not to sell any gear to help fund things. I already had to part with my best U67 and that was painful...... But it was for the greater good.

I think I've got the wife convinced to make the move, too. Especially after this past endless winter in Chicago. I lived in Murfreesboro for 2.5 years back in the mid-to late-'90s while attending MTSU, and loved it. I hope it happens in a year or so, after my step-son graduates from high school. We're shooting for Franklin, where I did my internship at Dark Horse.
