It almost feels wrong to have such a great plugin sell at this price. Full price was completely worth it. This is a no brainier for any of the few who don't already own it. I grabbed this, I already had some money at PIB so it cost me the princely sum of $6!! I'm keen to try it (I know Dan is a huge fan of TD plugins) My current software mastering compressor is the Sonoris Mastering Compressor which cost me $200!! I bought it many years ago and plugin technology has come a long way - I'm keen to see if a $45 dollar plugin can now surpass a $200 plugin from years ago? Yes. Easily on insane. the Sonoris mastering compressor has a built in hold time like the old metric halo channel strip compressor along with broken attack/release switching. It's worse than old "not for mastering" stuff like Oxford Dynamics and Logic Platinum. |

I love the Sonoris Mastering Compressor, it was the best $200 I’ve ever spent on a plugin - it’s payed for itself 100 x over!!
It goes in a very expensive mastering chain and I’ve been totally thrilled with its performance.
I’ve very much looking forward to comparing this new cheap TDR plugin next to it and seeing if it can match the clarity and superb flexibility of the Sonoris.
As I said, times move on, but I temper that with the important point that the brilliant developer at Sonoris hasn’t upgraded the plugin to a MK2 so he obviously has concluded the job was done right at MK1 - I like that.
I’ll definitely report back after I’ve done some listening tests.
I only come to conclusions using my ears, not my eyes.

I’ve enjoyed a few of their videos - they’re quite good in places. Anyway membership comes with a collection of free plug-ins the Pulsar 1178 bring one of them - not a bad deal as the membership for a year was only about $140. |

Not John, but I use the Pulsar as I would an 1176, all over vocals, drums, bass etc. But not on the 2 buss, not yet anyway. I typically only like FET compression on program material in parallel, and sparingly so. The Pulsar has a mix knob so it is possible to accomplish that sound in-line. |

You can use the pulsar 1178 on 2 bus because you can change the distortion and set it for it for max oversampling |

I can't compare, but that's my go to bus comp for VCA style compression now and I would recommend it. Based on that, and their drum strip, the channel strip is probably nice too. |

Ugh... I can't believe I missed the Molot sale. Arturia has the FX Collection for $129 with the new LX-240 reverb thrown in if you have any of their past freebies. I think the deal might be even better if you own some of their bundles. |

I've gotten in the habit of getting a plug from Fuse Audio each time there's a sale.
Just grabbed the 864U. Haven't used it yet but I bet it'll end up being really good.

I’ve yet to install it. Doh! I’m tracking and programming drums for a new album and rehearsing in a new keyboard and guitarist into my band. I’ve not had a chance, but as soon as I do I will be sure to report back |
