If you are concerned about Arctic’s having high cpu usage, one user posted this on FB:
“well I'm saying it doesn't , it has over sampling options and on 1x it uses nearly nothing of the CPU , some people just love to shut on AA for some reason , all.plugins released lately are CPU friendly and you choose your over sampling“

Plugins from u-he are on sale for half off through Native Instruments. They aren’t discounted every seasonal sales cycle, so I thought it was notable to bring up. www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/komplete/u-he-offer-2022/I see Satin and Presswerk being brought up here every so often. I may check out one of them before the sale is over.

Quiet Art has their Waverider and Defaulter sale still. When I was committing stuff to Fusion, the rendered tracks started playing back all this old Waverider volume automation. And it sounded way better even though it wasn’t corresponding to my current plugin chain. Then I went back and redid the automation on some things.
Giant difference. Waverider can fader ride faster than any human. All of a sudden my ITB mixes were more dynamic, exciting, fuller, smoother, and wider than ever. Not perfect but a huge difference. I still need to run them through Fusion.
Waves Vocal Rider was sort of a rip off of this. Regular Waverider is Pro Tools only, but you can use Waverider TG as a VST. I didn’t find the TG version as easy to work with.

I lusted over Presswerk for years and when I could finally afford to drop money on it not on sale, I barely used it.

Important note about Satin/probably all their plug-ins if using Pro Tools: for the past 2 years, Avid could not provide an AAX SDK that would allow us to create Universal Binary AAX plugins, i.e. plugins that run on Intel and Silicon processors. For this reason, our current release versions do not include AAX plugins on Mac. We will start working on reintegration of AAX support for Mac as soon as our schedule permits. Doing this for all our plugins will be a lot of work, thus we cannot give an ETA for those updates yet. For the time being, please continue using the previous version 1.3.1 of Satin. You can find it in the Release Archive: dl.u-he.com/release-archive/satin/Please note that this version might not work if you are using macOS Monterey or newer. And, if you are like me, installed the latest version (because that’s what was emailed to me when I bought a license) I would strongly recommend to un-install the current installation of the newer version, before at all attempting to install the older version. There's a lot that can go wrong if a wrong graphic file or an incompatibly formatted preset database is loaded into an older plugin version, so it's better to have a clean slate. Unfortunately, this means doing a bit of manual labour. Please see this article in our FAQ for instructions on how to remove a plugin installation on macOS: u-he.com/support/faq.html#compatibility:uninstall

I use Pro Tools Ultimate (2019) on Mac OS Sierra (10.12.6). Is this Kontakt dependent or do I download something specifically?

You can download the installers from the respective product pages next to the Add to Cart buttons . It’s been a couple of years since I’ve authorized a u-he synth, but you probably point to the license file after loading the plugin in your DAW.

Picked up the Dolby Atmos Production Suite through Avid, then grabbed Harrison's AVA LegacyQ and Multiband Compressor for $9 each, as they have Atmos routing.
Grabbed some VI packs for fun, UVI PX Apollo & V8 for Falcon at AudioDeluxe for $19 each and NI's Soul Sessions, Stacks and Ignition Keys for Kontakt at Pluginboutique for $48.

Waves Kramer Channel (Helios) was free yesterday. I think it might still be going to the end of the day.

It almost feels wrong to have such a great plugin sell at this price. Full price was completely worth it. This is a no brainier for any of the few who don't already own it.

I use this one all the time, I like the hi mid band a lot, and "Pre" mode does something interesting at times.

Don't know what it was about compressor plugs today... added Softube's FET Mk II, OPTO and VCA compressors this morning, then the AMEK Mastering Compressor on the forever $29 deal tonight.

I grabbed this, I already had some money at PIB so it cost me the princely sum of $6!! I'm keen to try it (I know Dan is a huge fan of TD plugins) My current software mastering compressor is the Sonoris Mastering Compressor which cost me $200!! I bought it many years ago and plugin technology has come a long way - I'm keen to see if a $45 dollar plugin can now surpass a $200 plugin from years ago?
