Well, what’s not to like, that’s pretty special: a very neat mix of the extra texture in a very good way, and dynamic control, both making vocal more present, but very musically.
Too bad about the numbers ( the cat purred me the cost, I bribed her with cream!)

Yes! Can't wait to watch seawell . Put this thing on bass yesterday and had my mind blown. Nice! I duplicated the DI bass, ran it in THD mode and made a faux bass amp track. Blended that in with the DI bass which I compressed with the 660..whew...what a sound! 🔥 |

Yeah man, awesome review! That dude can sing his ass off. Super talented and one of the best people you'll ever meet! He wrote and performed every single instrument and vocal on this song. He was the drummer for the band Daughtry for a while. I've been blessed to call him a friend for about 25 years now. |

The thought I have listening to the quality of this box’s sound, is how the right quality piece of OB, just slays a plug in, etc.: how if you had the opportunity ($), to use gear like this: you would every time.

Would it beat out a Highland Dynamics BG2? I am skeptical perhaps mainly because I am biased by owning 2 of the BG2s.

I shot out the RS660 against my RS124 and felt that if you love the RS124 sound then you’ll want to hang on to your RS124 style comp and add a 660 later when you can. There are things that the RS124 does that I couldn’t get out of the 660 and vice versa. I think they are much better compliments to one another instead of one replacing the other. I haven’t used a BG2 but I did own a BG1 for a while so I do have some frame of reference there. I hope that helps! |
