Man - Amplitube 5 is actually really good. I still don't like using VST amps because of the PITA of having to freeze stuff, but you could totally use this in productions without anyone being the wiser. As for the Tweeds - that 57 Deluxe (with the more knobs) is actually awesome. It doesn't do the destruction sagging overload like the Axe does, but all the Fenders are spot on. Well, now that I own Amplitube 5 and Fender 2 I am going to have to figure out how to integrate it into my process. I'm decently happy with my hardware sim, but there are far fewer good sounds. Maybe I'll go back to grabbing a DI in parallel and see if I can make that workflow work for me in terms of adding to or replacing with Amplitube 5 sounds.

I just noticed there is a lot of stuff added to what you can get... the software versions of their new X series pedals for instance...
cheers

This has been a great opportunity for me to stock up on software that I’ve been resisting for a few years. I decided to get ARC, since I don’t have Sonarworks, thinking maybe I’ll get the $70 mic someday down the road. I tried it out with Rode Classic on Omni as a generic LDC, very surprised. I was figuring a quick couple sweeps and I’d be set. Nope! It had to sample 21 mic positions, 4 sweeps each before it let me use it. I got to hear 84 quick sweeps, I bet my neighbors wondered wtf? I wasn’t too happy. Plus moving the mic 21 times got old fast.
The NS10s have been sounding good here, and the after was incredibly subtle. It took out the 100-200hz buildup and extended the highs and lows out like it should have. Most surprising is that A/B it didn’t change the Ns10 sound very much.. I can hear more detail on cymbals and lows aren’t so resonant. Another keeper for me.
Was it worth the 84 sweeps to download this? Yes! But I was just checking this out and my speakers are in a test spot, Each new position should require another 84 sweeps. And of course if I decide to get the cal mic, I feel like LDCs sound more “real” though, so I’m always skeptic. Each new set of monitors can be profiled. This will hopefully keep me satisfied w/correction next 10 years.
**important: I did do as Eric Valentine said for sweeps, walk away from the mic during cal so your body/head doesn’t give a false reading.yep.. 21 x fast walking mic moves

I may take a dive and see if I can find some comparisons between the two.
Hmm... Surely you can't use the group buy offer twice... right?

Apparently ARC3 is a massive improvement over ARC2, so much that they won’t let you use ARC2 profiles. Probably has to do with 84 sweeps lol. I’ve seen some positive reviews and at least one person prefer ARC over Sonarworks.

The X-Series pedals in Amplitube are really good and worth picking up!

Grabbed the De-esser, Comprexxor, and X-Time after taking a break for a bit on this whole thing.
Not sure about Comprexxor, I barely use the actual Distressor at our shop as it is.
But, X-time and De-esser I'm pretty pleased about so far.
X-time is a pretty nice swiss army delay. Need to figure out how to make the interface a little larger if possible as I am using it on a send with all the amp/cabinet sims turned off.
Soft mode in the de-esser is sounding good on male vocals.

The X-Series pedals in Amplitube are really good and worth picking up! I feel like I might not use the reverb or drive that much, you dig the modulation one?

Yeah, the Univibe in there is excellent, the Tremolo is just fine, the Small Stone phaser sounds really good. And there's more. It pretty much covers the usual needs.

Question…can you do this promotion twice? Like, if I buy another IK product will I get the promotion again?
Thinking about buying a cheaper product and using the freebies for like Syntronik and SampleTank instruments

*sighs* All right, time to figure out what's next...

I had some Jam Points left over and decides to go for it. Glad I looked and didn't buy the Tascam collection because it's not included in the Group Buy.
Also, I believe it might have superseded my previous promotion...so be sure to make all your selections before buying another product. I used my Jam Points to buy $150 in credit and pretty much cleaned out anything I can think of ever using in my lifetime. I hope that if the Group Buy keeps growing I'll get the promotion for the higher price bracket because I would have liked to pick up the Lurssen console to try.
But...by the time I reached the end of picking my second promotions I was really scrapping the bottom of the barrel for some niche/cheap choices. But I grabbed, for $95:
Tape Machine 24 Fender Collection Fender Collection 2 Fulltone Collection HiAmp Nu-Tron III Amplitude Orange Amplitude SVX Amplitude SVX 2 Amplitude Jimi Hendrix Amplitude Brian May Amplitude Joe Satriani Amplitude Slash Sampletank Cinematic Percussion Sampletank LA Confidential SampleTank Billy Cobham Drums SampleTank Hugh Padgham Drums Sampletank Spaceport 77 Electromagnetik Wurly Model 120 Cinekinetic Fractured Piano T-RackS Tape Echo T-RackS Precision Comp / Limiter (Neve 33609) T-RackS Master EQ 432

Just went through the ARC3 process. Ultimately, it's very similar to the results in my SW...Bottom might be a little tighter with ARC and top end is more rolled off. Which makes me wonder if I used the right mic Cal or if it uploaded. Anyway - I like having both of them...might go through the laborious process again...
Also - wondering if the MEM mic is worth a buy. If the results have a lot to do with using the same mic.

Also, I wonder if they share anything in common with the FX in MixBox?

I'm not exactly clear on what models are in the X pedals. "New code" is something I read in a few places. There's a lot of things here that I don't think are in MixBox.

Cool. I need to make a little time to compare AT5, Mixbox and X-gear to see how much overlap there is.
The X-gear demos look and sound good but if I have the same algos already in AT5 and Mixbox, I'll use my remaining freebie slots on other stuff. The Shimmer in X-Space sounds pretty good, though... decisions, decisions...

Mix box feels a bit dumbed down compared with the other stuff, but I do think there are good sounds to be had out of it.
X time, on the other hand is instantly my new multipurpose delay.

Definitely gonna demo the X-time, thanks! Workflow is a little wonky since you have to go in and turn off the amp and cabinet sim (for most usages). However easy enough to make a preset as a staring point.

Had a bit of time last night to play around and you're right - the X-Time is really good. Also, got some nice sounds out of X-Drive, too. Hopefully, will get some more time to go further down the rabbit hole tonight...

Does anyone know how long we have to make all our selections? Is there a clock on it?
Any hidden gems we haven't talked about yet?

Does anyone know how long we have to make all our selections? Is there a clock on it? Any hidden gems we haven't talked about yet? I think I read 30 days after it's done. So no big rush. I've got everything on the list, so I've been wasting dozens of picks on stuff I already have. Kind of stupid, but whatever. I left four slots open, just in the hope they'd dump some new items on there, which hasn't happened. Not sure what to recommend. I love Amplitube so I'd get all of those. Like the Dr. Z amps for example. I have most of Sampletank but have yet to really implement it in my own work. T Racks has some hidden gems, but a lot of them we already have other versions of the same thing.
