I have a Wunder CM7GS that has the Theirsch M7 Red. One of the CV4's has the BN-K7. I've also had a number of U47 and U48 (original) in the studio. With a tiny bit of EQ, any of them can sound like the other. We've had many times where we started with one and ended up doing overdubs with the other. There was no giant difference. I know what all the pundits say about M7 vs K47. They are pretty similar. From my understanding, the K47 was made to be an easier to build capsule, with the same drill pattern. I believe Ben made the K7 to sound similar to a M7 and be easier to match the front and back. So, in my case, I don't hear a drastic difference between the capsules (Thiersch m7 Red and BN-K7). I had one of Ben's M7 capsules, but I think it had a problem. The K7 was better to my ears, but as I said, it very well could have been a bad capsule.

Guys, If you're seriously thinking of taking advantage of the T-FET sale here's an option to likely save you some $$. - Front End Audio has them on sale for the same 15% off.
- Use the code "vipcustomer" during checkout and you should get an additional $50 off (10%).
- For many states (US) Front End does not charge tax or shipping.
- That effectively saves you about another $75 over the cost of ordering directly from ADK depending on your shipping costs.
I'm really tempted to pull the trigger on one. (Hope sharing this doesn't get me in trouble with Front End. )

I received my 2nd Cremona. I’m beginning to prefer it over the warbler IVD due to its greater sense of depth. I think it is more detailed and nuanced. The warbler still has a great vibe, but I’m digging the Cremona
Vocal: Even this mic can’t make my voice sound good. I need a mic with different levels of “magic” and I will need that dial to go to 11 for my voice

If the first mic listed first is the associated mic to each track - I agree with you on your observations regarding the TLM49 being more mid-focused, having less low/top than the Cremona -- without knowing your room or mic positioning, I also think the Cremona is picking up more high frequency room content or early reflections. Not sure if that's a product of the pickup pattern or just the emphasized HF pickup that is making the room a little more noticeable, but when I start swapping between the two X-OR style, that stood out to me.
The bigger note is when you hit that louder G-flat (?), the Cremona becomes less pleasant to listen to vs. the TLM49, but I've been told I have "baby" ears, so that is probably dismiss-able.

Yes, the first mic in the files is the one you are hearing.

I like the ADK more. I can hear the same qualities in the TLM49 that I didn't like when I had it, but I will admit it's still a great match for your singing. MUCH better than it was for me. The ADK sounds clearer, more articulate, and more pleasant overall. A bit too much midrange coloration on the Neumann.

One of the interesting things about the music I make is that I tend to see legitimate opera singers like Jonas Kaufman, Michael Fabbiano, etc on M49s and classical crossover singers like The Canadian Tenors, Andrea Bocelli, etc on ELA M 251s. So this is kind of a fun experiment for me.

Hmm... Am honestly biased in favor of the 49 Style (over 251) on melodic/Classically influenced singers. Ala Johnny Mathis etc. Chris

Got the pair of Cremona 251T yesterday. Tried them out on drum OH last night. First impression is really good. The sense of depth, space, detail is really nice.

Just tried a Cremona on acoustic guitar. Very nice. I'm feeling like these will be keepers.

I messed around with the 251T tonight on some vocals. Tried it through my 1073 and my 1272. Through the 1272 it faired pretty well next to my MKU67 which went through my 1073. Still chose the U67. Will probably use the 251T for the BG Vox for the song.

Yeah, I'd like to get the 67T and 49T in here to play around with.

Tried these on OH again tonight. Tea towel'd 60s Ludwig. The life and sense of realism that these bring is really something sweet. I was not remotely in the market for new OH, or a new pair of LDCs in general, but Ox Han's clip really perked my ears up and I am glad to have stumbled across them.

I've used the Cremona pair on drum OH quite a bit more in the last few weeks. These things are great.

In similar fashion I’m using a pair of 49T-FETs here for OH. Really nice.

Just want to post a quick update. Still pleased with my pair of cremonas. They have become my preferred FET OH for the vast majority of genres and mic setups. They have a clarity and depth my warblers do not achieve. I still find the top is nice and open but never harsh, at least with my cymbals as in the sample.
I contemplated selling my warblers but they have a nice vibe and weight for certain things especially mono OH on groovy shit

I would like to hear a comparison of the Soundelux U195 vs the ADK Cremona T-251. Anyone have any thoughts or have done a comparison?

I would like to hear a comparison of the Soundelux U195 vs the ADK Cremona T-251. Anyone have any thoughts or have done a comparison? I haven’t used the Cremona, but have a GZ251 and a Berlin T-47, also owned a U195 for a couple of years. All excellent mics, but voiced different. The U195 tends more towards a modern U87-type thing in normal mode, then a hyped low end in “fat” mode. If you look at ADK’s SoundCloud, they’ve got examples there. The closest U195 equivalent would probably be the Hamburg.
