Band In A Box might be worth it just to have a pedal steel player.

Band In A Box might be worth it just to have a pedal steel player. I keep thinking about getting a lap steel to play around with but, it most likely would get in my way and cause me to trip and fall onto my mandolin and banjo cases that I haven’t opened in forever. I have great plans but not much ambition. 😂

Every time I read someone praising logics drummer...I go back and try it.... I can’t get anything useful out of it. Cheers Wiz I usually give up too soon. At least I’m guessing so, b/c I’ve heard good results from others.

Just don’t want to pay $2k for one.

So weak. Just when modern production wasn't bad enough! I fear for the future. Bass should make you want to move, not kill yourself. (For the record, I am not a bass player.) Yeah, if you can't even be bothered to choose the notes in your music... man what is left? Why not just have the entire song be computer generated? Even the "EZ" nomenclature hints at what I think is wrong about it. Anyway, people can use whatever they want, but I'm clearly not the target market for this stuff.

Also, I should say that I have no idea if EZ Bass is going to work for me or not. I’m a bit skeptical, TBH. I have kind of a love/hate relationship with Superior Drummer and EZ Drummer. Mostly it’s the MIDI patterns. It’s hard for me to find drum MIDI that does what I want it to. I really need a Jim Keltner pack. When I’ve had actual, real-life E-drum playing to mix, I’ve really enjoyed using Superior for that.

Programming realistic midi is always way more work for me than just playing the part.
I guess this would be good for keyboard players, less so for guitarist(who have played a decent about of bass too).
FYI, if you do Rock/Metal/Punk Submission bass is the best bass instrument by far.

I’d encourage peeps with logic drummer, you can tweak it, customize and program it if you want. It is actually very layered, start with labelling your song’s structure: Intro, verse etc.. So, when you load Drummer it follows that. You can tweak lots in the presented performance . Maybe, I have just gotten used to it ?

Don't give up to early, it takes some time to understand the idea.
Knowing Logic drummer you can get great drum tracks in no time. Drummer is a God send for my workflow.

Its interesting as a guitar player I can play some base but when it comes to some special techniques I am not the right man this thing could help to get inspiration for special base player techniques...

My EZ Bass player lives 5 minutes away. He's got ears, skills, great hands, Fender, Rickenbacker and Music Man basses and an Ampeg rig. That's all I need.

I guess it is a new release and a "marquee" product. I'm sure it will inevitably be on sale, the way plugins are now. You can also buy a bass for $180 just want to say.

I have an extremely beat to shit can't really be fixed musicmaster that has pretty much given up the ghost. Turn me on to some $180 basses.

The only caveat is, they "MAY" need some work, it is very likely. That is if you want them to feel high end. But the "bones" are good on these, generally speaking. You could also start shopping budget Ibanez and Yamaha. They might have some surprising ones in there, in that price range. I can't recommend specific model numbers off the top of my head.

They usually have some Squires and a P bass type sounding something would fit the bill nicely. But, I imagine the EZ Bass bass player hiding inside the computer is a better player than me.

It has held up well. Plays nice and sounds good up and down the neck. Last month I got a 3/4 Tele from Rondo. That little thing is hilarious. It has more spank than another Tele I own. Again, it benefitted out of the box from a string change and thorough set up. I will probably change the neck pickup soon. It’s a slick little guitar. Rondo was great to deal with.

Playing bass is one of the most fundamental voices to writing music and communicating groove and personality. No one will care about music written by algorithms. I like pop but I can't remember anyones' top lines except Katy Perry and Dan + Shay. Meanwhile I can remember most of Chris Stapleton's songs, Sting's, even Level 42. If you need to buy software to play music you aren't in a band and chances are you aren't making music anyone will ever buy tickets to see. Spend the same amount hiring a bass player, or taking lessons. This whole progression is worse than 50 year olds buying Gibsons they will never play.......(that's me:) LOL
Have you guys checked out this young phenom? Madison Cunningham, tuned down to C. LOVE HER My buddy Abe Rounds on drums. Check him out with Rai Thistlethwaite if you want your mind blown.

Like John and Wiz I just never got Logic's drummer. I stuck with Superior Drummer. It seems like a miracle to even get close to a beat you want with Logic's drummer.
