Nope, I have had this happen before with them and then when you contact support by email, they indicate you can wait 1-2 days for a response: sigh, I find it so ironic as you would think their IT support would be top notch.

MH you dont like it and you like it at the same time..... I dont understand the point of the post ... the EQ is bad the rest sounds nice?
Have to demo myself...
I'll see if I can be clearer. The Slate sounds a lot better to me than the Waves. But that's just talking about the EQ because the Slate only has the EQ. You can sort of build something like the full SSL channel strip with VMR but you have to use the FG-401 for dynamics, which isn't totally like the SSL channel dynamics, and their add-on gate. So of the part you can compare (the EQ) I think the Slate is a lot better. But I vastly prefer to have the whole SSL channel strip, the way the Waves does. This is where the Brainworx SSL 4000 comes in. It sounds at least as good as the Slate, but has the whole channel strip layout. I like it a whole lot and will be using it a lot. You cant be more right, I miss the Waves SSL since many years. Now I got the brainworx SSL E and first thing I tested was the GATE.... I loved the Gate on any snare that rings too much... a few turns and I was done. The invert button is a great additon to find the perfect spot for the gate to work.

Maag EQ2 for $29, I wonder if I should get it... Any fans? I've got it. Should be fine for subs and the air band I guess, like a smiley face thing. I recommend the free Luftikus plugin by lkjb, it's modeled on the EQ4 but it has extra features. Recently I mixed a whole song with Luftikus and I was very impressed. It does fine as a go-to EQ for tracks.

Maag EQ2 for $29, I wonder if I should get it... Any fans? Why the EQ2 over the EQ4? It’s $20 cheaper and I don’t really need another EQ. However, I’m intrigued about the Air band, that could be a useful tool to have in the arsenal.

Just picked up the SSL 4000E for $29. Just playing around with it, I think I could mix an entire song with just this plugin. Well, this and my Bricasti. Okay, this, my Bricasti, and my Silver Bullet. Wait, this, my Bricasti, my Silver Bullet, and my Audio Scape V-Comp. Oh wait...never mind. But I really do like this plugin.

It’s really good. I’m prob gonna get the G as well. I like it a lot too. Is it that different? Not hugely. The EQ is a little softer, maybe broader strokes per the same Q? Need to test it more but I did some ac guitar and drum comparisons and they definitely sound different and I dug both. I think it will be worth $49 to me to have both channels. I’m gonna move to these as my go-to. I’m a big fan.

I just semi-impulse bought a bunch
bx subsynth - yep I need this tool, it's a bit different to a Rennaissance Bass or something since the bottom note is pitch tracking, is what I've heard.
bx bassdude - the demos sound terrible, the little picture icon they use is some old hideous thing. But in person, in the DAW, this is a serious amp emulation. Good for clean tones, grindy fender tones, bass whatever, I like it.
I grabbed the Rat, SD-1, and Tube Screamer because I needed some non-UAD stompboxes for my native amp sim playing.
Got the SSL 4000 E channel (this was the impulse buy) based on the feedback here, haven't used it just yet.
and finally bx Control which is something I need on my stereo bus

The "Eq Type" Button in the middle of the EQ secition Toggles between the emulation of the Black and Brown EQ. They have very different tonalities, so make sure to try both. You're going to like them both for different sources.

If you can switch the compressor section and the eq section, what's the point of buying both models?

The SSL G has different eq’s , also if you watch the pro tools expert video i posted earlier in this thread you can clearly hear the difference in the E and G

Nice is also to feet the compressors SC with the EQ the compressor starts to react very diffrent. I just cranked some 3 K on a Snare and the whole tonalty of the snare changed without sounding bad.
I still ask myself why Slate was not following more the SSL topology would make mixing in VMR way easier.

They don’t want to get sued. Everyone else who does full-on SSL emulations is licensing the brand from SSL.

Patent-Protection in the EU is 20 years and thats the end of the protection. As soon I know those consoles are older than 20 years??
