And now they have a bundle deal. LTL doesn’t seem to be excluded so for those wanting to pick up the Silver Bullet, now would be the time.

I don’t have Fractal, but thought it sounded nice. I do have the first version of the JHS pedal, so it is going to have to do for now. Really surprised there isn’t a sim though. Zep 1, Stairway, numerous 50s Chicago blues guys.

Just a heads up. Last day for the sale. You can use the $10 off voucher on all the plugins that you want. As long as they are over $20. Am pondering one of the Neold ones.

I dithered. Bought the Goodhertz good dither on their Pi day sale. And the Kazrog compressor bundle, also on sale.
Am I done?

The sale is ending in the next day or two. I believe the $10 off coupons are still available but if that is on their website it is well hidden.

I’m a bit flummoxed that there doesn’t really seem to be anything out there. Very weird to me.

Just looking for something a bit different and not as boxy/snarly as a tweed Champ.
I admit I havent even done a google search. Hoping if they exist someone here has tried it and can recommend or not.
Edit. A quick search has turned up bupkiss. Hmmmm.

There’s also the ones that treat transient info differently than non-transient stuff. Maybe those are a different thing entirely?

Can someone here shed a little more light on what these do and where you would use them?
I have watched a bunch of videos and not sure I completely grok it yet.
And if you have a favourite or one you don’t particularly care for, please do tell.

My db25 cable that I ordered in November finally arrived. Yippee! Cheers, Geoff What? I hope you knew it was going to be that long… That’s crazy! I could have made one for you in a day. I knew it was backordered. But had I known … Cheers, Geoff

Fuse has a similar sounding plugin. No personal experience, I just know that it exists.

Wiz,
Please let us know what you think of the Marshall when you’ve had a bit more time with that side of it.

And as expected they have a $10 off up to two plugs that are over $20 for the duration of the sale. Not sure that’s enough incentive for me to dive in. Cheers, Geoff $20 a plugin? Doesn't exactly seem like diving in. Even if you bought 2 plugins, that's only $40 (which is only $10 more than a Waves plugin lol). But then I took that plunge awhile back. I did pickup the Neold U2A ($19.99 after discount) but when this second code came out I honestly could not find another one I "needed" right now. And it doesn't seem like you can stack the vouchers anymore. Yeah $20 is quite reasonable. I am just at the point where all the $20 here, $40 there has added up. And, do I really need another eq or an La2? I still might take the plunge on one more thing. Cheers, Geoff

Ugh. I could go the UA pedal or a one watt Marshall. I kinds liked the DS tones I listened to online. I just don’t have the space to crank a real one, sadly.

I have now gone a whole week without buying another plugin. Look at me go.
As for the pledge to drink a couple less pints to cover previous purchases. Um, no comment.
I am considering the Dirty Shirley that PA has for $20 currently. Looking for a convincing Marshall sim for lower to mid gain tones.

If I had the budget and the space and the electrical outlets, and hvac to deal with the heat generated, yeah I’d go hardware all the way. But I don’t, so I don’t.
I guess I’m hybrid to an extent. I have some quality compressors, but mostly mono, and my singular eq is ok but not great, and I’m not sure my other outboard would beat out plugins (time based stuff).

I have done. Still do sometimes. But I find it pretty easy to overcook things. So I try to be fairly light and even then I still get into trouble sometimes.

Studio One mostly... - Pipeline XT is utterly hassle free and completely effective for hardware as a plugin... unlike Logic I/O which feels like an afterthought in comparison - Pro EQ... I use stock EQ in any DAW and this one is also just fine. Idk why, I just always reach for stock if I'm moving fast - Splitter... just what it sounds like. Easy way to split signals, do M/S, gainstaging, whatever All the other S1 stuff is totally usable but those three are the ones I use on the regular. Pipeline is the real winner though. Every now and then Logic whispers my name (poor man's industry standard!!) and Luna tempts me too, but without something as good as Pipeline it's a non-starter. Yeah the Logic i/o looks pretty much unchanged from a looong time ago. I don’t trust the delay compensation either. Maybe it’s fine I dunno. Another item on my Logic wishlist would be a good tape emu. Cheers, Geoff
