Here are some lyrics off of the top of my soul...
I will take Jesus by the hand and though you don t understand Heaven isn’t a lifetime away It’s existence lies in the palm of your hand
Walk with me as Ive have crossed over Entwined in your soul I walk Bolder Time will heal and you will grow older but these memories of me Will forever be
I sat in the cold with your hand tight with mine and all we had was moments in time how can we exist, another moment as a man I was brought to the core politics and religion were out the door my knees have never been the same
as I barely breathed your love rushed over me and I prayed
years have passed but not a day goes by where my eyes failed to cry what has gone wrong…will soon be right
Every breath has a purpose Every heartbeat a soul my time here was brief but the dance must go on
Im free Free as the wind and rain Im free Im Free let go and be free with me Im free!

Is he willing to do one? I can run it through the Lindell but in the last AB I did, the RevD clone was slightly better. Murdered the CLA plugin, though. I have 2 lindells and though decent for the price (I paid $259 new) the WA76 is in another league to my ears.

As soon as I get all my equipment in place Im going to run an AEA R84 as a mono Drum Mic through a Capi VP28 into the WA76. Im expecting pure magic. Anyone want to lend me their Sta-Level to follow the WA76 in that chain?

Wow, man that hits close to home as I lost my first born son. The last song I wrote and the last time I recorded was the song I keep on my Soundcloud as I wrote it for his memorial, its been 4 years now and Im just starting to write and record again...I can only imagine what the family is going thru!. I would love to contribute...not only some backup vox but also monetarily also.

Just a big shout to cats that take time out to help others out. I think it really captures the idea/spirit of what these forums are about. To have someone take 30-45 minutes out of a busy schedule to talk me through some things is outstanding.
Thanks, Ric

Very true, Ricfoxx... I have to admit...it's going to be hard to resist...In country, it almost sounds wrong now if it's not perfectly in pitch...And also, I'm not a "born to sing" kind of singer...yeah, I can sing, but people that "saaang" are few and far between. It might be hard to judge what to leave in for me... Very true for me also John and I even went to college on a full vocal scholarship. But maybe Im just not one of those people either. Anyway, it still kills me to put it on the track and hear what it does. I always put it on bass though.

Subtle but noticeable. i was surprised to how close the Apollo was to it not driving it of course. But I do a lot of Rock n Roll and I love pushing that thing...it does something that no piece does in my opinion. Also, since I mix on a console, running my mixes through it is worth the price of admission alone. The you have to really try to overload the Burl...it seems the harder you push it, the cooler it sounds.
Run some mixes through it...push it...loud naturally compressed, just beautiful!
I really feel with the Burl B2, Symphony and the Apollo, I have a pallet of different sounding converters. Apollo has this upper mid thing and is ultra clean...Symphony just really tight bottom, slightly rolled off highs and ultra hifi---modern and the Burl has vibe and bump like tape to me.
Really cool time to be a music/sound lover!!!!

So hear's the deal. Im no fan of any Lindell gear. Wont buy any of his pre's,eq's, comps etc... BUT i did grab his 500 series rack. Been using it since it came out.have Capi VP28's, Heritage 73Jr and a JLM LA 500 in there. Haven't had one problem(touch wood). For me it was a steal at that price. Filling the last 2 slots soon. And if everything is still running fine i might grab another one. Sue me fellas :-) Adding the fifth slot is when things started going wooly!

By no means am I laughing AT you. I was banned over at GS because I pointed out that it was a major conflict of interest to have manufacturers, gear pimps and advertisers as moderators. Wonder how long a anti Lindell thread would last on GS? Im really laughing at myself...I know better that to buy cheap crap! Although I will say that the Art VLAII is pretty cheap but not bad. Im still kinda of miffed why people overlook the seventh circle stuff...top notch!

BWAAAAHHHAAAAAA... No offense, Rick...but we're not big Lindell fans over here. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah laugh all you want. Bought this to dabble in the 500 paid $250 for it and you get what you pay for. You live and learn.

Maybe its my chassis. I have heard of different issues where guys had to plug there cards into different slots and also where once they get close to filling up the rack, things get hairy. Thats what is happening to me. Rack is Lindell 506.

Ive started to notice the weaknesses that some manufacturers have outlined in the the 500 series form. Like decreased stability.
I have 2 Capi VP28's that are fabulous but also 2 compressors and when I added the 2nd compressor in my 500 rack things started to act funny. My rack equipment doesn't suffer this phenomena.
Anyone else disenfranchised???

Here is what Herbie (CowboyCoalMiner) generously replied to me when asking about Apollo/Symphony/Burl Setup. No Burl DA…just AD. Cowboy, Hope you don't mind that I posted this, just figured it would save you some time writing it.
"The way I use my rig is as follows:
Apollo Qaud as my interface. Symphony in standalone ADAT into and out of the Apollo. Then the Burl B2 SPIDF into the Apollo for a total of 18 in 18 out. The outputs go to the console each to their own channel and I monitor through the console. In this scenario, some would say that conversion becomes less critical because once to the console, you can shape each channel with eq. I use the 10 Apollo outs and 8 Symphony outs and once to the console, I can't tell a whole lot of difference. Some but not much. Then I simply print the buss mix back to the daw on mix down. So I'm printing exactly what I'm hearing through my monitors. This is one of the great benefits to mixing analog. No second guessing. What you hear is what you get. No need to check a mix on this system or that, just print and forget. It is what it is.
Recording, I usually just go direct to converters, but sometimes I'll run through an input channel on the console for vocals and various for better cue mixes and zero latency.
Hope this helps.
Herbie"

Just picked up one of these to drive my R-84 and I got to say my jaw hit the floor on the first take. I had been using the 73 mainly with these mics but I was never really satisfied with the signal to noise ratio. I really don't understand what the difference is in these "ribbon" pres but it has effectively turned this R-84 into a total tone machine. I can still get the ribbon warmth if I want but then it will go all the way to a crisp, almost condenser type sound. And I mean a damn good one that rivals some of my best condenser mics. Amazed. Anybody else have similar experiences with ribbon pres? Glad you posted this…I was about to pull the trigger on one for my R84. My board pres amazingly are almost dead quiet but midrange heavy so not a great match, Capi was a little noisy. On another note, the Kush Clariphonic sounds great with the R84 just opening up the top of the mic.
