Checked in with my Sweetwatwer rep...he has no idea when they will actually have these. Several months was his prediction.

Yeah, Thomann had them this morning. I'm gonna be patient on this one. 479 is cheap, but if it sucks, it's a waste. This is my favorite compressor though. I use the UAD on almost every mix. I'd love to have something at least similar to that in the analog domain. I’m waiting on the Stam…but this is a good insurance policy. At least for any use this year. (Snap) Or years....

Ok, gave it a listen....sounds pretty good in the examples. Maybe a little grabbier than the real thing, but for like 479 bux? This is really cool.

I'm probably the fussiest on 44 Styles. It was my "First Love"! Also I try to factor in the "size" of the Room". IMHO to have the AEA or OG 44 shine at it's best... Best to get an exceptional sounding/large Room. More pragmatic for me if/when I get a 44 Style... With the Cloud Active. It sounded very well suited for Medium to Small Rooms. Chris I’m really looking forward to the 1st shootout between the Warm, an AEA, and possibly a vintage 44.

The Warm audio guy says in the video - dynamics usually only work on one then but the D19 can cover most things. So that true of an M88. I don’t know the D19. How is it similar - how does it differ to an M88? I'd like to know this, too. Proximity effect.

They really went all out on these latest releases. Bryce is a good dude. I've met and talked with him on several occasions. Not sure what small independent builders he is cloning. Fulltone? They were out of business for a good while. Someone mentioned they skimp on quality control for customer service. Either way, you're going to get something that works and sounds the way it is supposed to. I've had their 47 for several years, and it has been a great addition to my mic collection. These two will be hard to pass up!

Don't forget about Extinct Audio as well. I got a BM9 this winter, and while it sort of looks to be in the R121 camp, it has a much bigger bottom, and less presence.

The in line preamps are great if I’m doing a very soft finger style guitar with a ribbon. The fet head does something to the high end on my sm7 that I really really like. It’s like thicker and smoother or something. Got the pepper thing out of curiosity. It’s great on acoustic guitars.

Price is a little steep, but they usually drop it after a few months. Listened to a few more comparisons against a coles. I liked the Coles better as OH's, but the Warm was way cooler on rooms than some U67's in another vid I saw. I record a lot of trumpet, and this could be a really great choice for that duty.

I really dig my Tierra Audio Pepper. I’d stay away from all the other flavors besides Salt. Pepper is like a Cloudlifter, but when things get really loud, you get some nice soft clipping to the peaks. I have a Triton too, sounds great, but it interacts weird with my tube preamps. The sound gets very thick and soft. A cool effect if you’re willing to commit!

My local Sam Ash and guitar center are right across the street from each other. Sam Ash was much nicer both in gear and people. I’m going to miss going there. My main sales guy there started at GC and moved to Sam Ash 15 years ago. He was super cool and I got to know him really well over the years. I feel really bad for all the employees who are now suddenly out of work.

Mic is awesome. Sounds really beautiful on acoustic guitar. Really great on my voice as well, which says a lot because usually the cheaper c12/251 mics sound kind of spikey on me. Can’t wait to try it on a female voice. I’m really curious how a nice custom ck12 capsule would sound on it, but so far it’s a very usable musical sounding mic.

That option wasn't available when I ordered. Probably would have skipped on that anyway. Kind of defeats the purpose of a budget mic. Figure if it is good as is, then great! If I feel like it can be taken further, I can change the capsule. Maybe a Beesneez or something.

Man, that sounds great. Cool tune too. I kind of want one, but I was a little concerned about the sidechain access. But I agree with your assessment. Seems to work best with the sidechain out. Thanks for making such a thorough video.

I have their nos12 with a Tim Campbell capsule I haven’t used it for a while, but it’s really nice. I use It on mono OH mostly Awesome Ox. They weren't offering capsule upgrades when I ordered. Did you get any other mods or just stock with the upgraded capsule?
