I found that I needed to break in my WA76, as too, the buttons were wonky upon delivery and it wouldn't pass sound. I did an all buttons out and then all buttons in maneuver which seemed to cure the malady for what is now and about 10 months or so. The same thing happened when I was visiting Dale Pro Audio while auditioning a Beez Neez Mahalia early last fall while visiting NY. Eric (runs the recording demo room and is a fine and helpful fellow by the way) was in the room when the WA76 unit just plain went silent. His face looked as hitting the floor until I pulled my trick out of the bag and it was once again good to go (didn'the buy the Mahalia but bought the Gefell UMT 70S down the road a bit, albeit from my local Musix here in Baselland, Switzerland). My Tonebeast came delivered to me with a bad op-amp but was quickly sorted out by Bryce quickly and efficiently. And yes, the knobs on the WA76 were totally askew upon unpacking and loose enough to be unusable until I took a tiny screwdriver to them and worked them until there was a semblance of normalcy (they seem to be real cheapies). I cannot fault the sound of either unit, but rather enjoy what they do when I feed them some or lots of signal. I kind of knew what I was buying at this price point, and in lieu the cost of both units am completely and totally satisfied with their tonal qualities (something needs to give). Customer service was stellar and I couldn't have asked for better access to Bryce, his dealing with the distributor and the incredible speed of the replacement of the op-amp in question. As I am within the next six to nine months or so looking to buy an LA 2A clone as well as some stereo eq, some preamps, etc and at this point in time am not completely or partially certain that I will revisit Warm for my needs in the future, that is if I feel that other makers can offer better physical quality and comparable or superior sound at prices that I feel I can live with. Daking comes to mind, amongst others. I know that Warm is an advertiser here (I push the button to peruse the Warm Audio site from time to time), but I feel a need to add my voice to this discussion in weighing cost vs tonal quality vs build quality. There, my ear is back on the keyhole to listen in on the conversations and learn what I can from you guys. This place is fucking awesome, maybe the best of the best, at least to me.

Why don't DAWs put wet/dry knobs in all their plug-in slots? I believe FL Studio does.

I know that this posted in the wrong place but I felt that this is where most would see it. I am not selling it but I wish I had the cash for it...This seems almost too good to be true, but the fotos look rightous. Happiness to the person who scores it.http://m.tutti.ch/waadt/musik/instrumente/angebote/neumann-u67-tube-mic-mikrofon-netzteil-kabel-nos-mint-u4_9941956.htm

I've had a lot of luck with UMT 70S. They are a little susceptible to RF so I always use a quad microphone cable. I've only had that issue with one studio I work at though. Try it on electric guitar, you might be impressed! There is a simple mod that gets rid of the RF I'm Gefells. If I recall correctly it involves lifting the ground on the XLR (or the pigtail if you have an older mic) there is a thread at GS about it and I think drBill talks about it as well. I had my UM70s done by a tech in LA and it's been dead quiet ever since I had heard that some folks have had interference issues with the older model but so far I haven't with this newest edition. Although I am still learning it's ways and experimenting with placement with my guitars and percussion instruments, I have found it to be so very nice and quiet. When I have some time will incorporate it as the side mic to the MG m930 that I also recently acquired as the complimentary mid. Thanks for the advice and if noise ever becomes an issue I now have the antidote.

I was able to buy a new Microtech Gefell umt 70s that really works super nicely with my voice. The other was a 1991 Levinson Blade R4 for super cheap that was cherry-picked for parts but that my guitar tech is able to bring back to factory spec, as he is the guy here in Basel that sets up all of Levinson's new guitars when they come in from the factory. They work out of Gary Levinson's old workshop and have lots of the old and original bits and pieces. I got lucky.

D for me. I listened through once and then fast forwarded to ...arouuuuuuuund the second time around to confirm my thoughts, as that phrase is where it seemed to me the stress/point of this exercise pointed.

I am by no means "superhuman" although this version of a hearing test tallies me at a hair over 18k. I would love this to actually be true, but the last two times I had a hearing tests I peaked at about 15k. Either the test is weak or overnight and in my sleep an angel kissed my ears. Let's hope the later!

Yes, I just a week or so ago bought Omnisphere and it definitely solved my pad needs. I have only experimented with it for a relatively few hours and already I am in love. With this newest incarnation one can feed it ones own samples and tweak it till it twerks in satisfactory audio blissitudic grooviness. Mighty fine, this Omnisphere instrument, mighty fine. I was also able to buy the thumb drive full version 2 for the equivalent of $370 (369 swiss francs) which is a fantastic, fantastic price. This made it a no-brainer for me. I highly recommend this thing.

A priceless guitar would have/should have had a tender accompanying it if was to leave the saftey of the place that it was stored or displayed. The litigator in me suggests that Tarantino's production company will be sued by the insurance company that issued the paper on it. Too bad for the guitar, what a shame.

Hello Brother, I am sorry that you are going through what probably feels as probably one of the most challenging times of your life. You are a very lucky man to have such many good and caring people at this forum and I am sure in your everyday life, friends that are here to support you, both now in this very temporary dip as well until when skies seem a bit brighter and the air feels again lighter. You have so much obvious creative and artistic talent and are one of fortunate because as an artist walking bravely through this world have the innate ability to translate what you feel, see, taste and hear, to filter it through your unique novel and individual gift of perception, craft and taste, to magically transform this into something that approaches...something not elusive but rather a thing which can be held in your hand to examine with another less self critical eye. This can really be of assistance in getting your groove back, to be able to take a deep and relaxed breath and to let it flow naturally with a relaxed ramping up and a slow and gentle release. We are listening and we hear you.

This is not a threat but a warning; these here posts disappear and and you'll find yourself making coffee for and acting all over the top affable, submissive and servile on Monday morning to placate the three top level forensic investigators from the IRS that will "magically" appear at your doorstep before you you even have taken your first piss of the day. Don'the worry, Brother, we got your back, and no charge for the heads up. REMEMBER THE ALAMO!!!

PS...my post was not intended to cast aspersion, but I just now sheepishly see perchance someone might misinterpret it as such...hugs and kisses out to Dirk Brauner who makes some damn fantastic microphones that artfully blend sound capture of world class caliber with aesthetic details of both innovative design and superlative function.

I saw it while hiking with my dog, and you know how it is...everything, and I mean flucking everything leads directly back to the sound...if my name's not, iamasound. So, let me introduce you to a new new Brauner microphone that link which is now in the pipeline, and this now not so secret prototype is pictured with its advanced, forward thinking and patented integrated molded shock mount. Dick missed out showcasing at NAMM just recentlying as he really just felt that he wanted to play with the voicing and felt in no rush to release it to its audience before he felt it was as close to his inner ear in tone as he felt that it merited. Further details to follow as they come in... and thanks for listening. insert code here

I was blinded by production, after years still awed by song's intent, blown away by Draiman's vocal, I say, such hideous beauty, entombed, a soul's lament.

It is kind of a chore retuning my piano every time I want to change keys in different songs that I pen, it takes so bloody long, so I have been just leaving it tuned to Fmaj and transposing it up or down in the box with Melodyn.
