Interesting that there hasn't been much noise on here about it...There are some good prices...I'm just having a hard time buying software these days. Zero resale.

If their Satellites were on sale I'd probably grab one. I need to get my UAD plugs back, especially the reverbs/delays/modulation.

But I could see a scenario where I demo that, have to buy and do the 3 for $399 thing. (Unless the new SSL isn't included). I've been wanting the Zener too.

The satellites are one sale, at least the prices I saw at sweetwater last week.
You can sell UA plugs but typically see like .30 on the dollar so why sell, if you are giving up that much dough ?

Apparently CS will transfer just your purchased plugs in to another UA user's account.

Yeah, but all or nothing.

If I had to do it all over again I'd buy three plugins: A plate reverb, a parametric EQ and the SSL channel strip. All the other thousands I've spent on plugins I'd buy hardware. I would never buy UAD- with the devaluation I took on the UAD Quad PCIE - when my UAD performance was never better than my CPU based Waves performance.

I'm hoping that one day UAD will be native. I really want to break down and get a thunderbolt satellite, but my native plugs are doing the job quite nicely. I want to go back to my UAD plugs which lie dormant on my hard drive with nothing to power them, but the hardware machine is at full throttle.

Currently, the quads are on sale at $300 off and the octos are $500 off
People speculate that UA will release a new card with the dual sharc chips but UA isn't saying anything so hard to know how long these sale prices will last ?

They need to give us the unison technology with the satellites. Just doesn't make sense to me to be in a closed system.

Well, perhaps they will introduce a satellite with IC chip pres and rotary controls but I wouldn't hold your breath but look for a used silver face quad with tbolt card or a used bf ?

No idea, I thought they were going to drop a new satellite over a year ago, when they started dropping prices on the current stock, what do I know

An Octo satellite would be welcome to many I think. UAD needs some new hardware products. With the today's clones being viable, I don't know anyone looking to buy a new LA2A or 1176. I'd like to see a new AD/DA converter that's competitive with Burl and Dangerous, sonically and in price.
What do you guys think would be a good product for UAD to come out with?

How about a UA 175/176? I would love to hear their take on a V76. I never use the Unison stuff, but I thought the 610's were really nice. Like thicker than the other offerings.

I used the unison 1073 for only two minutes, and it sounded good. I'll compare it to my SA73 as soon as I get it.

Yeah, but all or nothing. Exactly. Which is the deal breaker. It's a racket. Whatever though. I still like the plugs.

They need to give us the unison technology with the satellites. Just doesn't make sense to me to be in a closed system. There isn't any "Unison" happening without the plug being able to physically interact with the hardware mic pre. Otherwise it's just the plugin, which is exactly what you already get with just the DSP but no Apollo pres.

I'm sitting next to 2 real 175's. Trying to sell them to grab a pair of Retro 176's and some other goodies if that means anything.

Yep, but you should still be able to use the plugs as designed without the preamp/interface. You get a pretty graphic that doesn't give you all the features without buying their interface. Cool stuff though, I have used their stuff and I am very familiar with the setup. I left the platform. I miss using a few of their plugs is all, but they aren't the unison plugs, so maybe a satellite is in the future, waiting to see their next move.
