I also haven't heard anything about the one I won.
I had pre-ordered one then I won the RGO giveaway (and took the necessary steps to confirm, etc.). Joshua and I talked it over and decided to drop the purchased one and go with the prize one (I don't need two identical stereo compressors), and confirmed with Miguel my shipping address.
Since then, no direct contact (I think a mass email or two went out with updates about the situation but I've not received a tracking number or any of the refund we discussed after my initial deposit was going to just go to cover the shipping on the prize - not a problem but a notable detail).
I preordered my original purchase (that was later just decided to be the giveaway prize compressor) before a number of people who I'm seeing have gotten invoices (and disclosed their order date) on the other site and the facebook page.
I've been annoyingly positive and hopeful - sticking up for Stam and trying to stomp out any online flames. I'm starting to wonder if I'm just getting burned.
I remain optimistic, but much more cautiously so. I'll report back with any developments.

I misspoke initially. It was December 10 that I sent my deposit, I contacted him to check in about it on the 23rd.
Anyway, I got a tracking number last night. Then got a $20 invoice this morning and the following email...
Let me know if anyone else gets this email.

It's one of those "hmmmmm...I wonder if that confirmation email got lost" sort of things. I know it's easy to temporarily lose things in the craziness - which is why I hadn't directly reached out to you to say "where's my stuff?" Thanks for takin' care of us! Sorry it's been such a hectic situation this time around!

Any more invoices or units shipped? The Stam site said xlr I/o however, the pics posted on FB are trs I/o. Still looking forward to receiving an invoice and putting the unit thru its paces I got an invoice, price was wrong, got that squared away and paid, still waiting on a tracking number though. How did you know what price you unit was and how it was wrong? In trying to find out if I'm in the $459 or $490 group. When I ordered I sent an email to pay in full asking my price and never got a response. Idk communication has been so sparse, hoping I hear something by October now sheesh.

I received an invoice for $365 on 8.23.16. I was in the very first batch of orders and my cost was the special introductory price of $390 plus shipping. I put a down payment of $100 in early December 2015 so the balance plus $75 shipping came out to $365. It was shipped yesterday and I have a tracking number, the SA-400 has made it to the Santiago airport as of today. I received an email and an invoice today for an additional $20, the email explained with an apology that the shipping price was miscalculated and I paid the invoice. So the total including shipping comes to a total of $485. I think that if the unit performs as well as advertised, it's been well worth the investment in filthy lucre and time. I have no idea ow long it will take to get through customs, I'll keep you posted. Props to the little guys.

I was initially told the shipping would be $50-60, it came in at $75, then there was the invoice for the extra $20, which I was questioning. Seems legit enough. I've shipped enough things to understand that it always ends up being more.

Thought I read somewhere that the dude said he had 800 orders for this. Imagine eating an extra $20 a pop on 800 of these in unexpected shipping? I mean, the math is impossible, but that's a chunk of change. He had to ask for that extra 20.

I love my SA-2A so hoping this will be cool too.

I give Stam the benefit of the doubt but I can't help but wonder : (I may be not as sharp as some here however ) I have never been able to short the shipping company $20 and still get tracking numbers and orders processed( start of shipment). I have always had to pay in full to ship. So with that experience of mine, How do you receive an invoice, pay, receive tracking number, find out where your unit is ( en route ) then have to pay another $20? A full payment was made to make the shipping happen, If the shipping wasn't paid in full the unit would have never been shipped and provided a tracking number. Am I missing something? Also, the sa2a is much heavier than the SA4000, how is the shipping cost the same price? Customers have said $95 is what they paid for the sa2a shipping. Also, he is shipping SA2A's with the SA4000's, and 10 sa2a plus 10 sa4000 is more weight/ more cost than 20 sa4000, so how do we know the SA2A prices aren't affecting the sa4000 shipping prices? link below www.gearslutz.com/board/product-alerts-older-than-2-months/992654-stam-audio-sa-2a-opto-compressor-usd790-00-a-16.html#post12081515 It was finally communicated by Stam on the other site that all shipping for sa4000 "should be completed in 4 weeks" . Some of us still have a lengthy wait unfortunately due to the shipping limitations ( not Stam's fault, however better planning ahead for shipping is )

Some of us still have a lengthy wait unfortunately due to the shipping limitations ( not Stam's fault, however better planning ahead for shipping is ) I will tell you how: A) Because I paid the extra 20 dollars to the shipping company to not further delay units and decided to invoice clients later for it. Yes, at my own risk and some have not even paid the difference just because I said it would be 70 dollars originally, but sending out a new invoice for 20 dollars before their tracking number would have made things even worse and I have enough on my plate as it is. B) Never has a customer paid 95 for the SA2A, the current shipping freight is 120 dollars for one to the US and 130/40 to Canada. Some people paid 110 back in April, when the dollar was 15% stronger than it is now against our currency. This fluctuates every month and there is not much I can do about it. Just like I was charged several hundreds dollars more for shipping of transformers than originally quoted, not the manufacturers fault. C) How could the SA2A weight affect the SA4000 and viceversa? This doesn´t make any sense at all. Each unit is shipped individually to an existing client, why would the weight of one affect the other? Hope that this clears your doubts, thanks for the benefit of the doubt.

The only thing that annoys me, and its not a deal breaker.. is the change from XLR to TRS without notice..
I already got the leads....
And, its a fundamental spec change... thats not cool to find out cause of a Facebook post that someone else highlighted.
I know it might seem like a small thing.
Communication, it costs almost nothing in this day and age, takes almost NO time.. you have a email list, you type for 1 min and you hit send = informed customers... less negative posts, better and more successful outcome...
It takes no more time than what I have just spent

I see your point, Wiz. If one were building leads for xlr, that would have been a bummer on arrival. Trs is music to my ears. Means I don't need to make up leads to wire it up to the patch bay! Already got them.
Btw, Joshua I paid the $20 a few days back. No worries on my end.

I'd love a reply to my email too, since I was one of the first and do not yet have my email or invoice so I can complete the transaction and get it shipped.
I just ordered a second Samar microphone from Mark Fouxman and it was a breeze... so come on, Joshua, get back to me please!

Again, if I were shipping that many units I would try to work out a bulk shipment for each place in shipping too. The units going to USA go to customs together, I figured shipping bulk By freight/ air was cheaper, certainly you are more well versed in regards to your shipping company. Please Excuse me if I am wrong regarding the SA2A shipping price. I read other posters make that claiim and I apologize. I would not make anything up to effect/ affect your reputation / business looking forward to my invoice
