The reason for LCR panning, again, is musical balance translation. I've been told the original reason, after it became a choice, was to bypass additional stages and transformers in the console. After that problem went away, people realized that the old LCR mixes still sounded more musical anywhere. What we don't want is a mix that only sounds its best on the monitors in the room where it was mixed. Mono compatibility is important because broadcast processing assumes it and there will be no "sweet spot" in playback at concerts when they are not mono. Remember that we are selling an artist and hence need to make a great first impression. Doing an LCR mix can be challenging. It involves using delays and reverb to fill out the space when there isn't enough bleed to move things about. It also demands effective musical arranging. I use the LCR method, and write and arrange around that. It so suits my aesthetic...... cheers Wiz

Hey wiz, Check out the Collective Soul record “Blood” I’d say about 3/4 of the guitars on that record are dussie’s through small combo amps - no pedals. Actually no pedals on that record at all it’s all just plugged right in. They are great playing and great feelings guitars that sound magical in the right hands. See if you can try one out if possible. Also their lap steel with the funky bender bridge is badassssss Thanks bud

Hey buddy... I thought they were made in Germany.... that is expensive if made in Korea. i might by there tremolo arm kit for Les Paul’s and give it a try

Hey Wiz, I'm working on upgrading my Delta, and specifically the line input IC to LM4562. I know it will oscillate without some circuit modifications, and was wondering if you knew the value of the components (outlined in red) added to the feedback loops. Thank You
Mine has 49720 op amps..the values may not be the same..... My delta in uninstalled.....I would be open to,parting it out ... cheers Wiz

I do. Mike Campbell model. It looks great but I never really loved it. Despite the looks, it’s a very modern sounding guitar. Mind you, I have a lot of great guitars, so it faces stiff competition. I even put it up for sale once but no one bit. I recently strung it with flats and that’s a very interesting sound, though. Thanks for the feedback

It has that reedy thing (not the right descriptor, but best I can do) that I remember from a good U47..... not much in proximity effect ... how far off the mic?
Killer sound... and more importantly your frame of mind every time you step up to that mic... is going to be one of confidence....
congratulations and may you have many years of faithful service....
cheers

Well the new album is done and dusted. Its called Guitar Strings Pen Paper and is available for $14 USD shipped anywhere in the world at www.peterknightmusician.comIts all me. I wrote all the tunes, played and sang everything , mixed mastered, artwork you name it....I even vacuumed and mopped the studio. I think its my best work ever... and I plan on enjoying the solid 90 minutes after completing and releasing an album.. before crippling self doubt about never being able to write anything ever again sets in. Cheers Wiz

An update.... I am happy with how things are progressing... I am learning how to target well with my Facebook ads placement... I think that's the key. My strategy atm.... I do a live recording of a cover song, I mention people signing up to my mailing list , then after the cover song, I play a film clip from my last album. you can see them on my Facebook page if you want to have a look. www.facebook.com/PeterKnightMusicianI am extremely happy with the set up and the audio quality and video quality of the live performance. The idea is this is a weekly thing... with perhaps a few days after that, some sort of video that interacts with the followers... I haven't quite figured out what that will be as yet. Something semi personal would be nice, connecting with them on a personal level. I am enjoying the process.... and I am quite positive about the message and the process. Not worrying about the bottom line, has certainly been completely freeing. Cheers Wiz

Go get some training from a good singing teacher.
Simple things like using the correct vowel sounds eg singing NART instead of NIGHT, will have a big impact.. .not changing your mouth shape during notes... breathing.... seriously that stuff will improve your singing way more than skulling whisky and smoking butts...
Cheers

The thing that always seems crazy to me is that I want to upgrade from RX Standard to RX Advanced, but the price is nuts, as far as I’m concerned. It seems a little arbitrary what’s included in Standard vs. Advanced. I need the De-Wind, but I’m not going to upgrade just for that. May as well just go Crumplepop. EDIT: Maybe that's more my issue: the arbitrariness of what's included in one tier vs. another. I'm certainly all for software companies getting paid a fair price for their products. Yeah, I upgraded to ozone 9, cheaper by buying the tonal balance bundle , than upgrading from existing plugs... I have RX7 standard and its used every session for noise reduction. You are right the cost of standard to advanced is really too high. Cheers Wiz
