Hi Doug,
Was at a trade show last week and Loctite had a booth set up. The woman running it had spent 20 years in the conveyor belt business and was very familiar with the repair of rubber products. Seems loctite has released a new product for the repair of belts and thought it may work for you. The glues required are different for natural vs synthetic rubbers-do you know which yours is? She recommended the products on page 115 of their "The Adhesive Sourcebook" 2017 Vol 20 The product is PC7393 although PC7350 and MR5023 are also in this section. I believe these are for natural rubber. This book is 213 pages long with a huge number of products...suspect if you dropped them a line they could help. If you cannot find the catalog online and would like it let me know and I will drop it in the mail for you.
Cheers Mac

The 58 beta is a very forgiving microphone. We have five of them as part of our setup and they work well for a variety of singers of both sexes. Definitely would not describe as peaky. Their only shortcoming, and it really is not the mics fault, is that weak singers struggle with getting enough gain out of it...not so sure that any mic is better
Correction...originally posted 87 beta. My goof

That is a long and painful journey for such a young person. Post-resection hopelly the diverticulitis will be a thing of the past and you can say goodbye to it. You are fortunate to have had your surgery when you did and have people around you who care. Best of luck on the rest of the recovery, bowels and voice, and take care.

Not inexpensive
Have to look into this a bit more

What was the frequency range that you made this one for? It would be easy to 3D print these....Although may not be as effective if plastic is not the optimal material. There are hybrid filaments out there that have wood, carbon, metal etc in them although they are more expensive. Alternatively you could print a mold and pour something into it. Would a silicone or polyurethane material work?

Great job! Would these still work if they were made from plastic Is the pattern completely random or is there a sequence ti it?
Thanks Mac

Not sure if it is the microphone, musicians, environment or all of the above but the sound on all of the videos is exquisite!

For me, presorting all the resistors, caps and diodes makes the build much safer and more relaxing.
You can write out all the values on sheets of paper and tape the parts to it...this works very well.
As I am lethargic by nature, and the parts list for the BT50s (last build) was long, I just printed Jeff's very well laid out BOM and taped the parts to it.
Very easy and, in the end, was neater than my hand made lists.
Have a great time building this...Jeff's designs are very rewarding projects.

Thanks smallbutfine.
That is something that will definitely be down the road for me, maybe! But the concept of being able to expand is well made with your setup.

Thanks for all the insight and comments...very useful! Having something that is supported and compatible long term is important so will likely go with an RME if I can find a good deal or one of the MOTUs (828x, 16A or 1248)
