Not to crush any hopes, but exactly one week ago I was supposed to receive a tracking number "TODAY" for a SA2A that was supposedly ready "next week" exactly three months ago. And that's for a product that actually exists. IN his defense, he has lots of 76ADG pictures posted - proving it is a product that actually exists Don't get me wrong - what I meant is that this is a product that has been sold for years, if I'm not mistaken, not a new development, and that was in stock.

Good endorsements here. If my SA2A arrives sometime this century I might be tempted to get the KT-2A for a shootout.

Cool! I'm hoping to receive my SA2A sometime this year or the next one... I have a pair of Golden Age Comp 3A that sound great to my ears, it'd be interesting to compare them against the Stam.

This is insane! I'm already heavily invested in Softube Console 1 and I recently discovered the amazing Sonnox Dynamic EQ, so I'm really covered. If I didn't have the Sonnox then it'd be a no brainer!

I haven't even received a certain piece of hardware and I'm already planning on flipping it and getting the Audioscape version of it! ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Sounds really great on my Sony 7506. certainly helped a lot as those are not super nice in the upper range at all. But the low end was almost overwhelming. To the point where I think most would just assume its better because it feels way louder with the lower energy now. Maybe its just me. I always found them bass-lite, so the bass correction was welcome!

1176: Used to have a Warm, got the Vintage Audio M76 (by Revive Audio). Sounds perfect to me. 1073: Golden Age Pre 73 mkIII, upgraded it with Carnhill transformers and added the EQ module just because. I think it sounds really great! LA2A: waiting for a Stam unit, hopefully sometime this year. SSL buss: Got the Tk Audio BC1-S. Killer! LA3A: Pair of Golden Age Comp 3A. Nothing to complain about. Some people I know thing they're as good as the real thing. Tube EQ: Retro 2A3, a thing of beauty.

BTW where is the best place to buy the sonarworks + mic package if you are living outside of US? Direct from Sonarworks.

There's the cheap Behringer measurement microphone which I've heard is pretty decent.

In my pro designed and treated room, it provided the final 10% of monitoring accuracy for me. I bought the full package including the calibrated mic.

I ordered the SA67 in December and lost my faith last week. Are you saying you've been waiting 11 months for an SA67? Yes, 11 months. I won't make this too personal but I'll share part of my experience. It started to be "ready in one week" around late August. Then I was offered a very nice discount on a SA2A as an apology, which I took. That made me keep my SA67 order for almost three more months until I lost my faith. I was still offered the discounted SA2A, so I decided to go for it. I'm still owed a small refund as well. Arranging for shipping and the refund was supposed to happen more than one week ago, but then it took another 5 emails to get a response. My last contact was a couple days ago, and I'm sure my piece will get shipped sometime before the end of the year. The refund is very small but it will probably happen as well.

An essential pointer is to hit the All button and set Drive to 5 on all tracks, which is really the default analog emulation.

My experience with their guitar gear was terrible, including sending a delay pedal to fix and getting it back without fixing anything, which then I had to send back again. That cost me $200 in customs by the way.
They were rude throughout, insisted that the pedal was fine (though I had sent videos of the problem). I told them that if the pedal I sent for repair was fine, they could simply send me a different unit. They agreed, and then shipped back the defective pedal.

That's fantastic news stam and I'm glad to read that. I want to believe you and I want your company to succeed. I think we all do here. I hope that this means my order will get shipped and my refund processed. I haven't lost faith yet. In fact, I'm ordering a new rack right now and there's a 2U space ready for Stam gear...

In the early 2000s I run my own little record label. Our first release sold 3x what we were expecting, with just a tiny marketing budget. We even had some trouble getting enough CDs made on time to fulfill the orders. That artist was our main seller. We put out more records by him and kept increasing the marketing budgets, but never replicated the success (and the financials!) of the first one. We soldiered on, his stuff kept selling but never as much as we hoped for, and it got to a point where his new record was always paying for the costs of the previous one. Money was flowing in and out but I was always one record in the hole. I'm seeing the same thing here. Unforeseen costs and delays keep pushing Stam to announce more new products so "preorder" cash flows in. He can't afford any refunds so he reels people in with false promises. He's not a scammer, he's probably losing money (he mentioned something about losing money on the SA67 due to the NOS tubes). There are a couple more details to my story and I'll post them when I get my gear - or when the whole thing collapses and we need to start a huge thread to commiserate ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

Are you setting Drive to 5 on the Softube? That should be the default setting, don’t know why they default to 0. Do the others have a Drive setting?

I'm pretty sure there are some significant cash-flow problems involved in all this drama. Let's see how it all pans out but I don't think any of us are going to see refunds any time soon. I'm sure Stam means well, I'm just hoping that the pyramid (there, I said it!) doesn't collapse before we get our stuff/refunds.
