I pulled the pin today on an m49 kit from vintage microphone. will get the power supply bom in a few weeks so I can stage out the purchases.
I'm interested in finding some body work. I got the round version c circuit boards. any tips on where to look. I had a look over at olivers website but couldn't find a link to his m49 body work?
are there any other options or even donor mics.

Try clearing the cache in your browser, Gouge, the site seems to work fine for me.

Your quickest bet for a body is Oliver's. The rounded PCB should fit, but I would ask poctop or Oliver before you take the plunge.
I'll be building an M49 this year probably.

Yeah, I wonder how those bodies are coming along. I'm not in a hurry for mine but I'm curious.

The first round of those M49 bodies is still not done. Then there's another completely filled waitlist that hasn't even begun production iirc. If you wanted an M49 body right now, Oliver is your best option. If you can wait, wait and see how the GroupDiY bodies turn out. They are cheaper, too.

Yeah, I'm in the first round of Bodies. I happily wait, I have a number of other things to work on for now.

I think his cheapest version of the kit is $700, but you get more than just the body. Maybe you could talk him down by not including the PSU, for example? www.tab-funkenwerk.com/

I have been on the list for TSKguys body for a year now like some others. Keep thinking about buying all the other parts, but then Ill probably get pissed about waiting! If I hadn't put the money down I would grab a pair of Oliver's kits in a second! Other than the AC701 this is really a reasonable price build! It's hard to believe how lucky we are guys like Thirsch and Oliver have provided us with such reasonable priced and great componenents!!

+1. Same here. I've had my money out for a pair for about the same amount of time.

Hey guys it's Eric, "tskguy" I really haven't done much on here so sorry not posting sooner.. So the guys that have already paid and have been waiting for almost a year.. Thank you soooo much for your patience!!! I honestly had thought when we started this venture that I would have delivered these body's by this time last year. Latest is that the machinist is finally rapping up the head baskets (the source of most delays) they are looking really good!! We also had one heck of a time with finding a plater that didn't have his head up is ass! So now I am working with a plater that is doing a fantastic job and the finish is looking spot on. So a realistic timeline if my machinist delivers next week will be body's showing mid to late August.. I tell you this.. They look very nice and are heavy! I hope you guys are happy.. As for another run, I may not be involved, Riggler over on group diy may keep the project going.. If he does the price may go up. But that's up to Riggler..

Eric Eric Thanks again for this undertaking, When you guys Started this project over a year ago The only way to get an accurate 49 clone was either Flea, or Oliver's reconstruction of a TLM49. Now everybody is doing a 49! You and Riggler have done a great job of keeping us informed and man this project has had it's roadblocks ! Still no hurry here, I have said it before and Ill say it again , feel free to move my 2 too the back of the line, if it helps! Now it's time to start procuring parts! The other Eric

I paid for my 2 bodies 15 months ago. From the number he said he was picking up, I was wondering if there would be enough to fill the first paid orders let alone the waiting list. I'd look at other options.

Did you get yours? Mine look great! What tube and transformer are you thinking? I'm going AC701 and probably the big AMI, I want to do these once and be done with them!
