Got my LH95 today. Ran some quick tests. Amazing EQ. Definitely saving for another as soon as possible. Great sound.

Josh seawell , I really appreciate your reviews of both the EQs. Did you have a preference (don't worry....we won't tell anyone). Personally, I thought they both sounded great, but the V2 has super flexibility -- and you showed that well in your review!
For the money, and my needs, the V2 wins! Maybe one day I can afford it ;-}

Thank you! I'm so glad you found them helpful. That is a really tough choice between the LH95 and V2. I really love the versatility of the V2 but also there is something about the sound of the LH95 that is pretty special. I could see owning both at the same time for sure. I guess for me if someone is looking for a good tracking and or/mix buss EQ then the V2 is the way to go. If you just want something to sweeten with, the LH95 is such a great sound. Can't go wrong either way! |

I used the V2 today. At first I thought that it was not doing much, because, for example, the kick and snare sounded like (drum roll - pun intended) ----------- a kick and snare. Then I bypassed it, and the kick and snare had no life! I also like the resetting capabilities and the ability to shift between mastering and non-mastering modes of increments - a way cool idea! I would not call it really sweet or sterile. It brings out the instrument without making it into something it is not supposed to be. It is important to have an eq like that. (I should add that the V2 was absolutely better than a pair of Pultex 500x or the Avedis e12g - either of which cost more than the V2 per channel!) |
