It's not all that hard to do. You have +, - 15 volts and 48 for phantom. The Power One HDD-15-5AG runs about $160, the small 48 is $58. I would use a 5 pin XLR and run +, -, 48, power ground and seperate chassis ground lead. That would connect inside the rack to power ground and the chassis ground wire would connect to the AC ground on the power cable.
5 amps would run anything, nice and cool too.

That's exactly what I'd like to do - but I absolutely don't have the knowledge or the skills to do it. Could I buy one of jsteiger power supplies and have it modded to work with my Brent Averill? It would be the perfect solution for me - I really only need 6 spaces and I'm on a budget. Who could I get to do it? Is that advisable? I think i remember going over this with you last year JK, you could buy jeffs vpr floor box(16v), and change the connector easily while building, his floor box is nails mang!

Yes, you did...but I could by a kit car too...and not know how to build it either. This stuff is just over my head...and the fact that they use it for capital punishment raises the tinkering consequence to new heights... I spoke to BAE and they would sell me their new PS for $200...that would certainly be the easiest thing...All it says is "Remote 24v power supply for BAE 6 Module Rack with four-foot cable capable of four times the current needed by the preamps for optimum sound quality"....The VK site actually gives more info than the BAE site... vintageking.com/bae-lunchbox-power-supply

This BAE PSU is only 24volt if i didn't miss read. The 51x floor box does +16v, -16v, +24, -24v, and 48v. The standard VPR is what you need.
