Apparently reverb plugs are all the rage right now. New FabFilter Pro-R reverb dropping next week. Seems really easy to use.

Man, I love me some FF! But, do I really need ANOTHER reverb plug? Hmmm.....

Damn, watched the video. That is so impressive to me. Sonically and layout wise. I have several reverbs but I think this is way, way more like what I'm after. Just dialing up a "space" from an intuitive visual layout. Collapsing it to mono, lowering the decay on certain frequencies. I think this is gonna be the one for me.

They have mastered plugin interfacing. I've been using Nimbus lately, which sounds great, but the interface is pretty deep. This seems much more intuitive.

Yeah I find reverb plugins in general to be the most head scratching/vexing. They're always so math-y/tech-y and you're always just scrolling around guessing at stuff. "What exactly is the post ring modulation early diffusion ratio gonna do to my f*cking guitar again???" Pro-R will be an instant buy for me. I'm really excited for it.

This gui and interface is a perfect example of everything FF brings to the table: it considers the user experience and thinks how can we design/add the most value and then does exactly that.

I've been waiting for something like this. Don't know why but it hadn't occurred to me that FF might do a reverb. As soon as I saw the title of this thread I was like 'oh hell yes' because of my experience with the other FF stuff. The video put me right over the top.

I like the sound of my good reverbs but like you have struggled a bit to have a simple user experience, I think the FF gui would also act a a great visual learning tool as you are hearing the change in the audio as you see the graphical change: would completely reinforce your sense of WTF is actually going on in real time

Love this plug already! The digital innovation is what we need, I mean look at the GUI when the reverb is active playing.. It's like a 3D spectrogram analyzer which can show the different parameters the decay tail or the eq/ tone of the overall reverb! This plugin has completely made me rethink Slate Verb suite... I really think Slate verb suite sounds great... This FF GUI, workflow, innovation, and lastly the sound is what I love.. I also own some FF plugs so purchasing this will be cheaper for me than Slate's with how FF does discounts Their demo vids are amazing as well, I wish they had featured more Vox though... Bring on the demo vids baby, Nov. 15 won't be here quick enough!

A novel take on a classic processor, pretty dang cool.

Impressive. One thing though, when they show reverb dialed in for specific instruments, it means an instantiation for each one. Even in mono, won't those instantiations add up to a strain on DSP needs?

ah, like any other plug in Once it is out in the wild, we will see how native dsp hungry it is !

Wouldn't it be cool if companies like Relab, UAD, Slate and Waves allowed other programmers to create better user interfaces for their plugins?
I would love to have my Relab XL480 with this interface!

+1 My favourite plugins (TC Powercore, DMG and Fabfilter) don't have "cartoon" GUI's of the original hardware.
I'd been happy to have none of my plugins looking like pretend version of the hardware they emulate and have a GUI's like FF plugins.

I would love to have my Relab XL480 with this interface! See this is part of the problem with so many recreations of analog in the plugin world, wouldn't it be cool to have a say 550 emulation with a GUI that was easier to control via say faders and infinate steps ? That would be showing what digital can do that analog can't !

Personally I don't mind a " cartoon " gui but FF gui's are really fantastic. Too many verbs...

Looks good! I'll need to check the pricing before purchase - while the interface is fantastic, it seems like they're doing a lot of the dsp tweaking for you under the hood and mapping lots of parameters to a single knob. Absolutely love the ability to easily change the decay time by frequency, but it seems maybe a bit simplistic for an expensive plug.
