Also, FabFilter does 50% educational discounts too, but you can't sell educational licenses.

Funny, I qualified for an EDU discount two years ago, but decided not to pull the trigger at the time. By the holidays, they were running a 50% discount sale anyway.

I've got a nice discount from owning the other stuff. How much is retail?

Just bought it. It's Fab! he he .. I got a good discount cos I have other plugins of theirs .. So now I have C2, DS, L, MB, Q2, Saturn .. and now R. Very happy in general with all their plugins.
Just spent 10 mins messing with the R ... and it's very inspiring and creative.

I'm showing $119.40 in my account. I really want to buy it, but man, I just bought Nimbus and I've got a couple Valhalla verbs and pretty much all of the UAD verbs except for the 250. I mean, there's really no need, except for the great interface.

I spent a few minutes with it at lunch today. Really enjoyed it so far. Easy to dial it in and get quick results. I'm going to spend some more time with the demo, but I think some more FabFilter stuff is in my future this holiday season.

The discount is automatic and just a function of how many of FF's plugs you already own.

A bit off topic, but has anyone upgraded from Pro-C to Pro-C2? Worthwhile upgrade?

Does this sound as good as a Bricasti?

Not sure anyone would say any plug sounds as good as a Bricasti. I think the big draw to this is ease of use.

There are a couple of things that it can do that would be difficult to do with other tools, like adjusting decay around a particular frequency and they are very effective and noticeable too What I found was that the interface and ease of manipulation was very inspiring. I can see myself doing some cool things to get a unique reverb sound on a few songs. Question is .. how long do people want to spend dialing in a reverb?

The more mixing that I do, the more I see the importance of getting the reverb and effects right in a track. If they don't fit just right, the track won't breathe the way it should.

Is any 3rd party shop going to offer this plug with similar pricing? With the customer loyalty pricing, I don't know if the 3rd party retailers would have a better offer anyway. Hoping Blk Friday adds a little more discount, either way I am buying this regardless!

Used the demo on a snare and it was freaking awesome. Then tried it on a vocal and ended up bolting on it. It's really cool - but damn, I have SO many reverbs already.

Then tried it on a vocal and ended up bolting on it. Not sure what this means? Does this mean you ditched the Pro-R on the vocal?

Hoping Blk Friday adds a little more discount, either way I am buying this regardless! Pro-R is 1 dollar cheaper from Audio Deluxe than then new customer price direct from FF with my code (which nets me $12 in FF rewards if you purchase). If you're buying multiple plugs from FF, their expanding discount thing will surely net you a better price than dealers.

I own pro Q2 and pro L so I doubt a 3rd party would discount me as much as FabFilter's customer loyalty pricing. I'm glad you answered because you usually know where the best deals are
