So the big 4 th announcement is he has dropped the price of the everything subscription service AES Announcement 4 of 4!! The BIGGIE!! Last year I realized that the world of software sales was changing, but the audio plugin business was not. Audio Pros were spending thousands of dollars to purchase the latest and greatest audio plugins, and often regretting some of those decisions when they realized that the software retained very little value. That's why we launched the Everything Bundle in 2015, which offered engineers every one of our plugins, top third party plugins, and every new plugin we come out with, for only $24.99 monthly. Many people feared that we'd raise the price of the bundle as we started to add value, and the concern only increased as we added two thousand dollars worth of new plugins to the Everything Bundle last year alone. I assured people that this was not our intentions, and that when we hit a certain milestone, we'd want to decrease the price. Well, the milestone has been reached. Starting today, you can get the Slate Digital EVERYTHING BUNDLE Annual plan billed monthly for only $14.99 or pay up front for $179.88. That’s 40% OFF our previous rates. I know everyone kind of hates the term “no brainer” but with this deal it might actually be quite fitting! If you were to buy all the analog modeled tape machines, consoles, preamps, compressors, equalizers, guitar amps, dessers, mastering limiters, reverbs, delays, and more, you'd be spending several thousand dollars. Get the EVERYTHING BUNDLE at www.slatedigital.comCheck out what EVERYTHING users are saying: "

Ok, so paying up front is the same as paying it monthly for a year. So there's no real incentive there other than wanting Slate to have your money sooner rather than later... think about that for a minute and get back to me.
Can I just buy the everything bundle? I mean, if I could pay like $300 for it and update it for like $100 a year, that would make more sense to me. I like owning not renting.

So why can't I just buy the SW at that wonderful price? I don't own / rent Slate stuff plus how do I know if my credit score is good enough to rent from Slate

You can still buy perpetual licenses. If you go to the splash page for any plug I think there is a button at the bottom ?

In other words there is a glut in the market. The reason to me is simple there are great stock plugs in daws, and for the rest we all have great working tools. For example..... I have more than 300 plug ins on my HD, maybe I use 10-20 every day, the rest is hardware.
Why the hell should I buy everything by slate now?

I - for one - have found the slate rent thing to be a good thing. The only thing in the bundle that I can't replicate is vcc and I own that. So, it's. Ice to have the option to pick up the monthly subscription occasionally. I really like the all buttons in thing. Really useful with the mix knob. That might be one I just buy.

I can't believe he has an authorized distressor plugin right after Derr releases his. I guess Derr figures that Slate was gonna release it and people were going to use it either way, might as well make a buck from it.

Don´t we have this with the UAD 1176 you use the ALT Key and than the mouse ALL Buttons IN. Anyway I hope we will see more creative plug ins in the future I am sick of the recreation plug ins. For example ... this freebie is the most transparent limiter I ever heard.... www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-kotelnikov/

I have to say...with the Delay and Verb thingy...and the Distressor, Slate might have me. Plus, $179 a year isn't bad when you consider ALL it includes. The problem with these subscriptions is that most places wanted to charge $15 per month for ONE compressor or one verb. THAT was the panic and anger I felt...This bundle - honestly - has enough stuff that it can take the place of other things.

This plug in is used as a parallel compression device, correct? So, Instead of pulling down the fader of the Aux channel you twist the Mix knob?

BTW to my ear most parallel compression calls for phase trouble that's why I don't use it.

Slate may come off like a used car salesman , but he's smart ! Kills everybody in what you get for your buck in both quantity or quality! Same monthly or yearly, ok there is no debating which to go because of total cost! I hate admiring this guys smart !

$179 / year is like buying 1 full price slate plug per year. Not a bad deal for all you get.

Like Eric said it's also great for his cash flow yep smart man Slate is banking on being the plugin bundle everybody has, slates thinking better odds of makeing a million by selling to 5,587 customers a year than 2000. $15 a month is easier to swallow ! Smart man! Also

Have to wonder if the subscriptions weren't flying off the shelves like he'd hoped? If it was already a wild success (I'm sure he'd say it was whether it was or not) why knock the price down?
I get the gamble on enough new rental tenants to offset the rent and maybe that's it.

Yeah...I wonder. But he's only offering the $14.99 per month if you commit to the year. Still $24.99 month to month. Doing the math, though...$24.99 x 7 months is around $175...So it's a MUCH better deal to just go ahead and do it.

Think of it everybody is in a battle for your reoccurring yearly or monthly payment plugin dollars, Now for the most part they all look good but they add up $15 was what I paid for 2 Martinis last night so pretty easy , plus Slate has to find the price where I don't think about stopping my plan for a couple of months! Over 10 years slate gets $1700 if I don't stop the lic. The key is about 2 things Find the sweet spot price wise What do I need to deliver to keep it going!
