I hope she turns up.
My dog disappeared quite a few times over the years and it always leaves you feeling like the worst has happened.
However he always ended up coming home one way or the other and was with me for all of his 14 and 1/2 years.
Good luck!

Nothing. We are hoping someone has her and will take her to the vet today and she will have her microchip scanned. Not a lot of hope right now. If she took a right into the woods, there are coyotes in the vicinity. If she went straight or left her chances are much better.

Just talked to a tracker dog guy. Told him about the coyotes. He wasn't very optimistic.

Make sure the chip is registered to you with your info . The vet says a lot of people get the chip and then forget to register it online . They also said 80% of lost dogs get returned to their owners because of the chip . I have one of these trackers on my dog and it works very good , no gps , eurekaproducts.com/

So sorry to hear such a sad chain of events! Stay positive and strong coyotes nowadays have become more brazen and even can attack in packs now. They are very loud, extremely loud, I would think you would've heard a commotion like that, then again I don't know how much area/ property we are speaking of. Try to not be hard on yourself. Try to focus in on the direction where the Yelp came from. Someone can go in the general direction you were following the pup and have them Yelp at different distances to see if something connects. I know it's seems far fetched but you never know! Animal control may have picked her up and hopefully AC is in the middle of processing her and contacting you. Stay positive

Nothing. I'm a pragmatic guy. Gonna be tough to have a positive outcome...but you never know. Get a load of this, though... I wrote on the Nextdoor site thanking people for understanding. I said - in essence - I hope we aren't being overbearing - I realize where a lost dog stands in the scope of life...but I appreciated all the help we were getting. That was this jackhole's unsolicited response.

I'm really wishing you the best. People can be horrible. That was really uncalled for. The older I get the less I expect from the general public and the more I appreciate common decency.
I know how I feel about the dogs I've had in my life. You absolutely did not take it a step too far. Don't let people get you down.
And you know, there are always other puppies for your daughter and family if worse comes to worst. My heart really goes out to you right now.

The syntax is that of an insular old man who spends too much time trying to take advantage of people at estate sales.

Don't know if I posted this earlier, but the overwhelming majority of people have been amazing. We had complete strangers come over and bring their dog Sunday to try and track. Dog didn't really help much, but they trudged through the deep woods with us. Pretty incredible. There have been so many kind-hearted people to lend hope and kindness to us. joelhamilton has banged on doors and put up flyers. Lucky to call him my friend. So - I can't let one guy ruin it for me. But I wanted to rip his fucking head off today. After thinking about it a bit, you never know...maybe the guy has lost a child or something. I could see how a pet amber alert might rub some the wrong way...but I thought I was expressing that I wasn't trying to equate it with anything bigger than it was.

I think an amber alert for a loss puppy makes perfect sense. It's a family member and needs help. It's not like this happens every day.

I was thinking there should be a lost dog website were you can post your missing dog and people that find dogs can post them on there too , Well that website is already made , you can give it a try , www.fidofinder.com/

My cat came back home the day I lost hope to find her alive. And Berlin is a very big city - with cars - and assholes inside the cars. As long there is a realistic chance there is a reason for HOPE.
I know sometimes its hard to stay positive, and sometimes it is impossible.
I think we live on the golden site of the globe and we have all reasons to be grateful therefore we have the reason for hope if someone gets lost. I would agree with you John if there would be war outside - or anything horrible like this. No war, we live in very peaceful times... your dog will come home alive.

It has been one week. Looks like Molly isn't coming home. It has been one depressing episode after another. We've had about three instances where we really had hope and thought someone/shelter had found her...only to get there and it wasn't her. There was a pic of a dog on the Humane Soc site that was a DEAD ringer. Not her. We have been struggling as to whether or not to move on or give it a second week. We saw some of the cutest little brindle Beagle mix puppies on the Nashville Humane site...I called and all three were there. Loaded up the ten year old and wife and we all were ready to put our love into one of these new puppies. We get there and all three had been adopted. In the 45 minutes it took us to get there. Buy daughter had to watch as another little girl was holding the last one of them at the main desk. It has been that kind of heartbreak over and over...and I have to say, it's making it hard to keep faith...of any sort.
