Do the polystyrene caps have to be polystyrene? What's the sonic benefit? As far as voltage, I assume that anything from 120v on up would be ok on a 120v circuit? (Maybe a bit more for good measure). polystyrene are known to be the most transparent of caps...so? Gotcha. Makes sense. Still, the last thing that comes to mind when I think of a C12 is "transparent" lol. |

A bit off topic, but I want to place a Matador C12 pcb into the Avantone CV-12. While it's almost an Apex 460 or Alctron HT11-A, this one has a pad and hpf switch. I haven't paid that much attention, but maybe it wont fit. Anyone have tried it?
