Have been demoing it the past few days, it's very nice. The best way to describe it is when using it I know it's there not that I "hear it" but when I take it away I can certainly tell it's gone. Make sense?

Make sense? Yes sir. That's exactly what it's like recording in a great room vs a not so great room. The difference is slight but it's there.

The Ocean Way room seems more subtle. The OW re-mic'd mode features the sound of the selected mic and the distance from the source, but less of the room than the Tverb. Or the Ocean Way room is less lively than the Hansa studio. I wouldn't use OW as a reverb effect, it's too subtle, it just puts your track(s) into a better sounding place. I generally move the near mic in OW much closer to the source than the default position.
With Tverb, you can hear the room plainly, and you mix the room levels with your raw track until it sounds natural. I may not be getting all you can get out of Ocean Way. I may need a tutorial on how to max out the usefulness. I don't really understand why there's settings for different instruments and vocals, for instance. I guess there's a common practice on how different instruments are recorded there. But it sounds good no matter what you do with it.

Bought it... couple days ago. Just got a chance to go through it. Sounds really good, like Noah said the presets sound great. Gave it a good thrashing on drums, really liked the space it was creating and that it did not get in the way. Ran a send to it and phoenix verb, got some really nice lush effects going. I then sent the Tverb into the Phoenix Verb with a larger hall and it gave it some real breath. It is a bit of a resource hog compared to Phoenix verb, but set it up on a buss and you are gold. Thanks for the tip Johnkenn!

I just demo'd this and my impression is that you can make a really really good sounding room with this, or you can do the Oceanway thing if you want. That plugin is well worth $149. I put it up against the Bricasti IR's in Hofa and also Hofa's IR's and they couldn't really get close to how this actually sounds like a live room. Really impressed. The hardest part in getting drums to sound good in an IR is always the kick... gets so clicky, I didn't get that with this at all.
