Never. Haha!! I openly admit my bias, but it's not a "fake" bias. I actually buy and use the things.

Had to find out what all the fuss is about... The two pieces right above are relatively new as well. They are Ross Martin AD/DA converters that have been highly modified by dandeurlooThey are awesome. I've heard a comparison with a uber expensive Weiss AD converter and the difference was negligible.

Yeah but I bet the wait for the Weiss is much shorter😎

I've had those for a while before Dan modded them (and getting them in the first place was painful). Wouldn't buy from Ross again but that's all been said before.

Bought this to trial against my slate / softube / IK software comps. Gonna try it on various sources to see how it holds up. I figured if you can squeeze a fet into a 500 unit then this is just as viable with a trs adapter. These cost £279 over here. oopsie - just bought a WA76 too - can only keep one, so we'll see who wins (hoping it's the Origin Effects 'cause it's cheaper Ok got the WA 76 yesterday - love it. Tested on drums. The best ( read closest ) sounding plug was the Softube FET ( by some way imo). I like the softube, but the best way I can describe the difference (on cans) between the soft / hardware unit is the hardware sounds like I'm in the room with the drums somehow. The issue of not having multiple instances will be solved thus: softube as "holding" comp for mixing, final printing through hardware. Little Origin Effects pedal got sent back too - imagine it would be great for gigging but not versatile enough for a studio. Win for the WA76, but you all knew that anyway, right?

It's a very good Rev D clone!!

Well I thought I got my new FootPrint 01 Sound Anchors stands ( yes this is the second pair ) but no ...😖😡 VK messed up the order again and sent the wrong stands. Mismatching... ( was going to give play by play rant, however it's too much and I am professional )
Spoke with Jeff Ehrenberg today, finally, after speaking with several other associates who did whatever they could to get me off the phone. Jeff was one of the most professional and understanding guys I have ever dealt with. Jeff helped build the LA store and is head of sales at VK. He listened and was courteous. He helped resolve the situation the best he could so hopefully the right stands will be on their way soon, overnighted as well 🤘
Jeff is sending me a new pair of Beyer 770 Pro Headphones which I am excited about.. just hoping the correct stand comes this time 🙃
Yes my Barefoot's are still in the box 😖🙃

Got myself a donut-shaped sandbag made for mic stands. I've been experimenting with Decca tree mic placement and having three mics on one stand will make you a little verklempt. The sandbag really stabilizes the setup. Not glamorous, but a big confidence-builder. And it's also a good conversation-starter. One player asked if it was a whoopie cushion. Someone else asked if my mic had hemorrhoids.

Chase, start breaking those Barefoots in, this way when you get the stands, you'll be up and running.
Nice rack DrBill.

Just curious but how much is a roll of gaffer tape in the US? Here in Oz a 40 metre (44 yard) roll of 2" wide Nashua gaffer is around $25 AUD or about $20 USD

Gaffer tape: Often 'borrowed', never returned.

The only thing that can clean 'acoustic sealant' off your fingers without burning off the skin.
