Ooh, I do like that! I think I would nab that KT before a Warm. Sadly, I am still 1176 poor, but tis only a matter of time. I have a pair of Warms too. Psyched to check out the KT. Price is right, no wall wart, and nicer feeling pots than the Warm. Hopefully the sound is there. I would bet with a recap job that would sound pretty good. I wish I could see the pots they are using.

I scored a pair of Aphex 651s on reputation alone. Looking forward to putting them to work.

Not particularly exciting but just picked up an RME Madiface USB to go with our RME ADI-648 MADI to ADAT interface. I figure our Presonus Studio Lightpipe is living on borrowed time being almost 10 years old and FireWire 400. I doubt support is going to last much longer.

A pair of Audio Technica AT871R boundary mics for around $50 US each. I'll try them as room mics, super clicky kick and also in our recently acquired upright piano. I have a few old Realistic PZM's and did modify one to run off 48v phantom but it was a pain to modify and for $50 each the AT's are a no brainer.

We got this about a month ago on a kind of a semi/permanent loan basis. The owner has gone to live in Chile and needed a home for it so we obliged . Needs a good tune but it will be less 'funky' than the other upright that resides in the house.

That reminds me— a buddy just gifted me a Stage Rhodes 73 MkII, a beater Marshall 4x12, and a bunch of solid state amps.

Sound level meter. Not a high end meter ($50) but useful for checking room locations for positioning ambient drum mics for the best low end response. Of course one could walk around and just use their ears but hey!

Wired up these pups. Sound pretty righteous. 111C's. 1:1 and 4:1 switch. If I slam them with a 1073 things get pretty fierce. Lots of color options. From transparent to over the top aggressiveness.

Wow, Jesse, that's cool. I've seen that in many of the studios I happen into lately, so it must be a good piece.
I have the plug, but it's too confusing for me to remember what each knob actually does if I haven't used it for a long time. I remember it worked nicely for surgical EQ, when I could figure it out. Somehow I think Elysia could have done a better layout.

ahh.. thanks Jesse, they looked similar. That ain't cheap. Is this your main mastering compressor now? I'm curious why you chose this one over some others?

Just added channels 65-80 AD/DA. Avid 16X16. Later this year or early next will be channels 81-96. Then I'm checking myself into rehab and trying to quit. Somehow, I can't seem to stop putting hardware into my PT inserts. Every piece of outboard I own - aside from the tracking rack - will be normaled into it's associated PT i/o. It's oh so fun, but financially painful. Decided to quit screwing around with my bay and wire it all the way to 96 i/o. That cost a couple thousand (more) in wire but it will be ready for 96 i/o - just plug stuff in..... Bays are expensive, but it will be done forever now. I hope.....

Yes, expensive, but I'm sure it's great for recall and flexibility. I've been wanting to get a cheaper I/O for sends to hardware reverbs myself...I usually only have 1 AUX available on the console but I've got a few 80's units that I love for one or two sounds and would love to have them all available at any time. I picked up a Brauner Valvet today. It was at a price that if I don't like it, I can easily make my money back, but it seems like it'll be very different from what I have

I bought one if those Thalia capos. It is engineered brilliantly, is gosh darn beautiful, and most importantly it works perfectly to allow any and all of my guitars to maintain their tune while clamped securely to their necks (thanks to the set of different interchangeable radius inserts). They cost lots more than any other capo I have ever seen or owned, but what the hell, in this case you get what you pay for. I bought the optional teflon inserts for the extra $8°°. I would have been fine without them. The hard and soft rubber inserts that come with it work great. www.thaliacapos.com/collections/all/products/black-chrome-finish-with-hawaiian-koa-celtic-knot-engraved-inlay

There's nothing quite like a New Guitar Day. Feels a bit like a first date. So far so good, with the PRS SE. I cleaned off the other guy's dirt, put on a couple of my own scratches (woops) already. New output jack, clean and lube electronics, new strings and intonation. I think the only thing this is going to need is new pickpus, which was expected going in. These have too much bite and are too flat in the mids, think I'm probably going to go with some Burstbuckers, for that more vintage sound. Possibly Seymour Duncan or Bare Knuckle instead. Royal Blue quilt top looks quite fetching in person, it grows on you. Still need to buy a whammy bar, looking forward to that. Neck is SUPER playable. Fret access, fingerboard space is outrageous, best guitar I've ever had in that regard. Which was my main concern going in. Also was looking at Ibazez RG and RGA. That will come later, with some EMGs or Dimarzios, for heavier sounds. So for now my guitar flu can calm down for a minute. It was out of control until I picked something out. It's been just a little less than a year since I got a new electric guitar. Sometimes it just hits you like that.

Damage Control Liquid Blues. When these first came out I wanted one so bad but was a broke musician and could only dream... I'm after a Womaniser too but they're still fetching good money .... Needed another eq, was thinking of something software but couldn't get enthusiastic, then snagged this TC 2440 ......
