Consecutive serial numbers. One owner. Perfect condition. Damn...beautiful. Not to ruffle any feathers, but can anyone tell me more about the Miktek C5's? If you've compared them, and can speak honestly.

I got a pair of WE111C transformers. Not cheap but I always wanted to print my mixes through them and I am not disappointed.
Although results can be subtle they impart some shine and sparkle without being bright, weight without being dark and a feeling of finished record. They also help to tame peaks.
Waiting to have some spare time to build them a nice enclosure.

I'm looking for something like that with a remote. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01L1OROYS?psc=1I recommend these and have purchased this same product. 16.4 ft on each roll, remote works and has lots of different options for the light patterns as well as colors.. I used little plastic almost like little picture frame L clips instead of the tape on the roll to mount/fastened. I ordered connectors as well so I can splice the led roll and use the connector to make corners and right angles easier and make custom shapes...

Sebatron SMAC optical compressor. Been after this one for quite some time. The Sebatron stuff is very, very good. And the prices on the used market are ridiculous. I picked this up for half off new. Class A, Stereo/dual mono. Super flexible.

Speaking of DIY 500 series, here is my first DBDawg CEQ, which is a clone of the Calrec PQ1549 equalizer. The second one will follow in a week or so. Really excited about outboard EQ right now.

Monkey can you point me towards some info? The builder's name is Jason Marchionna, he offered 500 series PCB and kits for a little while, then basiclally vanished from the internet. I happened to get two of the PCB and kit for the CEQ. At some point he even crammed a simplified API preamp into them, which I find kind of baffling. I think he builds motorcycle parts for sale, from what I can tell. The build manuals are fraught with spelling and grammar errors, but the mechanical design is pretty well laid out, with a few issues I must say, but basically it's a decent product. I did have to make some adjustments during the build process. If he were still around I would want to advise him on a few things. So I guess it's a pretty rare product that I'm building here. I bought the kits several years ago, and only finally have built them up. The most I can say is that it sounds really good and works like it should. If you're looking for something similar, I think the Gyraf Audio project was probably the starting point for an EQ like this, although Jason did put his own touch on it, as well as adapting it for the 500 series format.

Just bought a Royer R122 MKII being delivered tomorrow. Looking forward to spending some time with it this weekend on acoustic guitar and fiddle and maybe a little dobro if I get time.

Finished my second Calrec EQ, put them to immediate use. Finished my triangle Big Muff Pi yesterday. Very big and fuzzy sounding, records well. Fun project also. Not sure if I want to do any more work today, but the next thing will be a Five Fish NK-72DI 500 series preamp for the last open slot in my 500VPR rack. Those Carnhills are just sitting here looking at me, really sexy and heavy.

"Finished my triangle Big Muff Pi yesterday. Very big and fuzzy sounding..." That's a relief! If it had turned out 'very small and smooth sounding' I would have demanded a refund on the basis of false advertising!

My latest mic purchase, a Telefunken badged U47 from Puk Studios. Elton John and George Michaels have most likely sung in it.

If it had turned out 'very small and smooth sounding' I would have demanded a refund on the basis of false advertising! LOL!! It does happen to be one of the most on-the-tin accurate pedal names of all time. But on a serious note this one has a solid/full/round tone that some of the other eras of muff deviate from more. Haven't picked a favorite, but for big rock riffs, think Boris, this one is very suitable. It's one of the more neutral muff tones, as far as those things go. Not too hot, not too cold.
