Native Instruments Traktor S4 MK2. It was CHEAP. New models cost over one grand, this came for 240 euros. It's a steal but also... it's used. In great condition though. Also, I ordered cheapish stands for HS8's - OMNITRONIC MO-6. Should be more than fine. They have smallish legs but Yammies are only ~10 kg of weight so it should be fine. Both pairs of my speakers will stand next to my screen, also the table situation is a bit tricky so I decided to choose these stands. It all should go fiiine. I'm happy. The only problem is that I'll have to wait 2-3 weeks for the stands. I bought connecting parts and 13 meters of cables for my whole volume controller situation to happen. Ahh, it's all coming to place finally and thanks to eric, I'll also have Electrostatic headphones to check my sounds on. I have a used pair of AKG 271 but they seem to have moving parts inside LOL. I also have a cheap pair of Sony headphones which work wireless but I wouldn't be as stupid as to check my sounds on them buuut they might help in the studio for recording. I would also like to get a pair of something like Beyers, you know, just so I have them. Another thing my eye is on is Neumann 102, C414, 57s. My father owns a bunch of cheap and also not so cheap mics. There's also the small room and the booth. We have NT2-A in it. It's a fine mic. Acoustics are great, RME does it's job. Of course, if I want my voice to sound better, I can always ask my friend to do the recording in a much bigger studio. Yeah, there, I said it all LOL

@ Chris : yes, I'm pretty sure it's gonna cut it. The sheen can be dialed in precisely with the four modes. Sweet or modern. I loved all the audio snippets I heard here, on Gearspace, and in the Seawell review too. @ Eric : Haha don't be . It wouldn't have happened without the guidance of the RGO folks. I'm now saving up for other Beesneez CK12 mics. BTW I asked Ben to pay more to get spare tubes. Ben refused to take any money and will send the tubes free of charge. That's what's nice about ordering direct. You get to talk to the real people, and often you're met with great minds. xxxxx Louis

BeesNeez Elly Fet Producer series and a pair of CAPI vp26 preamps. Waited way too long to get the CAPI’s. They’re fantastic. People tend to focus on the BeesNeez classic series, but the Trubute and Producer series are really really fantastic microphones.

It'd be funny to Cover Donovan's "Atlantis" on it. Particularly if you get him (and Sir Paul-BGV) again on it! James Kehn drummed on it. Still alive at 87! Never can get THAT "Goodfellas" Bar scene outta my head though! Chris

Finesse. Great on a vocal you want super clean and natural, Probably my favorite 76 on fiddle and mandolin... interchangeable with the dearly departed Mohog 76, yet not quite as effective on acoustic guitars as the Mohog is. Effective in what way, Ward? Glad you asked. The Mohog brings the 'shing' of the strings in the first 100ms right to the surface to really bring out the percussive nature of strumming with a light to medium plectrum. The 76F is close.

Well just ordered a 12Bh7 tube. And a strap for the new to me Firebird. On the plus side I haven’t bought a plugin in about a week.
Cheers, Geoff

a very unsexy annual renewal for my Pro Tools Studio perpetual license (which then proceeded to freak me out for a few minutes when Pro Tools asked me to activate and then showed "subscription updated" but I confirmed with Avid I still have the perpetual license. phew...). one of these years I will probably not do the update but I guess not this year.

It used to not be as nice as Avid really bent you over to reinstate (I think it was $599?). Now I think it might be $299, which is less than 2 years of renewal/updates... so next year I may go that route (depending on how stable everything is).

Speck Electronics LiLo. Super cool guy from Austin had one and even though not shipped, lamp out on the delivery up here to Dallas. Had to build a base for it and reconfigure my kinda mastering desk setup but solid console and after spending hours yesterday making cables for it, on initial run it sounds huge. Very surprised by the sound stage. Wired up everything for the auxes and the groups to take advantage but with the holiday family schedule haven't dived in farther than running out into the LiLo and summing into my 2-bus back into PT and out to the B26 which I'll still keep for all of its advantages. Looking forward to spending this week figuring this thing out but super excited about where this will take our music. Having it on the patchbays with auxes and the groups buses will be so cool. Wish the solo switches were before the feed to the mains but might be an input B thing to figure out. Anyway, super grateful to finally have one of these to put through the paces. Speck Electronics is the balls and this thing was a brilliant concept. Edit: oh, and yes, I have some wood working to do. Cut those cherry pieces from a top I saved from years ago, but have to figure out the ergonomics. So far though, the trackball, mouse and keyboard are doing well, lol.
