Better to do it with gear than gals. I hope the Helios sounds as good as you remember man. Glad it's in the hands of a lover. |

I was gonna post the Helios in the classifieds as a joke...but bailed...
I got a MONSTER deal on the 84. Just couldn't pass it up. It looks like it's been in Lucifer's ass over Yom Kippur...badge looks like it has been eaten by acid...smooth silver from handling...few dents here and there, mesh on top has a tear. But it sounds fantastic. Shannon said he can make it look new again...not sure if I even want to bother though. I might do it to flip it, though. I compared with the Gefell M300 again both through VP28L's - with one on top of the other as close as I could get them. The Geffell is brighter, but not a bad bright. Maybe a little more pronounced on the bottom too. I would say a little "hyped" on both ends. But man, it's really close. I wouldn't have any problem using either. The 84 just seems natural - like you're siting in front of it...Anyway, I've overspent, so I might have to eventually sell something in this place.
