Thought this was worth a try - even snagged the 007 tag .... anyone know of these Fab trafo's ?? *FAB Model 56 Ribbon Microphone* The superb professional studio Model 56 ribbon microphone from fabmicrophones. Long ribbon motor design with a special custom made Model 56 FAB Transformer for a stunning sound. Serial number 007 FAB transformers are used worldwide and are among the best available. This mic is superb and compares with models costing £1000's. You will not be disappointed with the quality of this mic! The FAB 56 is particularly suitable for vocals and produces that smooth Frank Sinatra sound typical of ribbon microphones. Also great for recording instruments like acoustic and electric guitar, brass and piano. Thought I'd start spreading the news ... p.s. - invited Chris from FAB here as he may be interested in this community ......

Ok, first of all, I have a terrible guitar addiction... it's almost an affliction. A disease. It's not just GAS.
I bought two more Telecaster bodies. one solid walnut, highly buffed to an oil shine. And one solid walnut with a curly maple cap on it. And two old Tele necks to match up. And noiseless pickups and gold hardware parts... cos I don't have enough to do already.

Looking forward to your thoughts adding to the Apollo vs. Symphony debate! Yeah, doing a lot of testing. I take a long time to form opinions on things like this

My goal is to have over 100 pedals before summer, so I soldered some old parts together and I now have the working start of a "FleshHead" DAM circuit. Just need to get it installed in an enclosure, along with another Klon that's close (#3) and a triangle style Big Muff Pi that's been on the back burner for a long time. Ward I understand the guitar madness. I've got a fever.

I don't put much stock into guys that gush over gear after 5 minutes, or guys that say one piece is so much better than another without having them side by side. I think I read somewhere that our aural memory is relatively short.

Wow, that's impressive. I've got a few guitars "under construction" as well. What I like to do, lately, is get a big project going, finish it, mess with it for a minute, put it away, then start the next one. Then maybe a year later cyle back through the stuff I haven't played in a while. There is some love in the work I would say.

Lovely, but this is where another hobby can provide some Zen balance to the gear hoarding. May I suggest a Saltwater Reef Tank? Multidimensional living art....endless in pursuit as well.

B+O 3404 record player. Super clean condition with perfect cartridge/head.
20$ at the thrift store. I recapped it just because, and next I'll do a 3 wire power cable.

It's been a few years since I've performed but it's always entertaining.

Stam Sa2a off the purple site. Apparently previously owned by RGO member Bowie. Hope it doesn't suck...

I use those headphones. They're bright, but have good detail and a good soundstage.
