Graves, you beat me to it. I was going to mention the Kawaii MP series. I have had this model for several years (MP-11): kawaius.com/product/mp11se/All-wood balanced action. Great, great piano feel and action. The sound is why I bought it, tho. I've used it on albums and told people when they asked what it was. Almost no one has believed me; they're convinced that it's an acoustic grand and that I'm coitusing with them. As for the weight...yeah.... I have a theorem that part of the reason it plays/sounds so realistic is that they also modeled the actual weight of an acoustic grand. Geeez.... it's a two-person lift for sure. -09

My latest piece of gear. And ironically, one that is keeping me out of the studio, and away from buying other fun pieces of gear. All about zero weight on my L heel for the next couple of months.

Much appreciated. Like I said, the worst part is lack of mobility. Even when I broke my back years ago I could still hobble. Being one legged is not a good plan for getting things done. I'm learning new skills. Like sitting around, taking naps and pondering life.... Cheers and thanks, bp

Cheers and thanks, bp You can find new wheel chairs online for around $100 when I lost the toes and the MD was all “ hop with the Walker” it was the simple investment to increase my range, also the guards in my building know I still have it so it’s found it’s use getting drunks safely to their Uhbers.

We've got a wheelchair here for my wife's father when he visits. So I could try that. But also, I'm going to get one other piece of gear - one of those knee scooters. I chose the off-road version with the bigger pneumatic tires for more stability and (hopefully) comfort. Not exactly the kind of gear selection I was eyeing a week ago.... LOL PS - hopping with a walker sucks too....

Carefully with the knee scooter I know a couple of people who have done more damage with those knee scooter! Will do. You've got me worried now. Care to elaborate? Most of the problems I know of have been 2 fold. 1. On inclines remembering to use the handbrake. 2. On uneven side to side surfaces not understanding that while the center of gravity of the scooter is nice and low, the center of gravity of an adult rider on the scooter is quite high. I know of at least 2 people both pretty sharp and otherwise able who ended up in the ER & the surgeon who did my foot advises against them these days.

Thx Eric! Interesting. I’ve ridden dirt bikes on sketchy stuff most of my life so I’m hoping for the best!!!! Will keep my eyes / spider senses open though. Gotta find something better than hopping with the Walker…🤣🤣

Another Stam 87 T and I’m waiting for the Stam 78 to arrive. I’m also waiting for a pair of BCk12 Beesneez capsules for a 251 build.

Believe it or not I often use the MXL A55 Kicker as it comes ready mixed. Recently though I used a Horch fet and an M88. Very big and natural.

Haven't opened up yet but build quality looks great and the printed manual is a really classy touch. Very excited about these, haven't made up my mind yet on 500 series rack will use Elysia chassis until I move these permanently into a 500 rack.
