Not really…I had to install Sampletank 4 and the IK Product Manager just to run Syntronik, but that was still fairly breezy.

How do you like the Bluey compared to other 76 variations? I'm searching for a 76 for mainly vocal tracking and mixing.

For the new live rig, 4 Radian 2215’s for subwoofers, ( as soon as I have the prototypes built and tuned I will post the plans for both single and dual 15 subs think 120-40 HZ and 103 db 1w/1m for the dual). BSS Minidrive FDS 334t 4 ch of ASHLY Protea Graphic EQ and remote 2 Stewart Audio World 2.1 amps 400w ch @ 8 ohms, but only 17lbs and only 5 amps of current draw at rated power both ch driven. A couple of racks
Looking at a Yamaha DM1000. If the DM2000 was good enough for Randy to mix MJ’s monitors for his last Grammy performance it’s good enough for me.

Trying these out for the 1st time. So far pretty amazeballs. Much better and very different than the NDH20 due to different drivers and open back design. en-de.neumann.com/ndh-30

Facebook Marketplace dropped another guitar in my lap. I'm a sucker for the color but it's not really a Mustang polarity reverse switch or vibrato...but it was too good a deal. I ordered some Curtis Novak pick ups for it as well. Going to try and get it to sound a bit more vintage. I'm also going to add a 3 way toggle switch so when both pickups are used it can be parallel, bridge pickup out of phase, or neck pickup out of phase. Also picked up a Guyatone ST-2 compressor pedal for $25. They are GREAT but not the best build quality so I bought this as a spare. Also snagged a Groove Tube MD-1B FET cheap on Reverb. Never used any of the FET versions of these microphones, but I'm a fan of MD1 and MD3.

I've been holding out on this thread. Over the last two years, studio acquisitions include:
Focusrite Red 8 Tascam ML-32D Dante converter x2 (moving the studio completely to Dante later this year)
MOTU 16A
SSL Sigma #2 (to match an existing unit)
Retro Revolver Heritage Audio HA-81A EQ API 2500+
Heritage Audio HA-609A Audioscape D-Comp
Q2 F765-500 Compex A-Designs Pacifica Bricasti System 3 (M10 remote + 3 M7M mainframes) Austrian Audio Hi-65 phones Focal Clear MG Pro phones AEA R88A Shure Beta 52A Shure SM81 x2 United Fet 47 Audix i5 x4 Ludwig Bonham shell pack (in green sparkle, of course) Amazon "Lamp 2700" lava lamp
Still to be purchased:
NTP DAD Core 256 API 5500 Bricasti #4
Whatever else flips my switch
Avid's move to 256 i/o for PT Ultimate native has unleashed the buying beast.

A throwback system after my own heart, I ran a DM2000VCM from 2006-2016. My current theater gig procured an X32, but everything else there is from my personal anachronistic sound guy stash. Did a production of Rent in the round and hung six Community RS220s to cover the 4 sides, plus two Peavey QW 118s on the floor. Ran the crossover point up around 140 using the matrix processing on the X32 and it was pretty stable with 15 lavs open in the center. Now were back to a proscenium set-up using three of the Communitys as a center array, so I'm looking for a small/light FIR processing solution to use my other boxes as a throw and go rig. Tried a MiniDSP a couple years back, but the balanced unit was a noisy little thing.

Just bought this Hand built RS124 Point to point clone. Nos RCA tubes, UTC transformers, with all the updated features. <button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button><button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button><button disabled="" class="c-attachment-insert--linked o-btn--sm">Attachment Deleted</button> I recognize that background, James is awesome! He's who I got my SA70 clone from. Super happy with his work.

Picked up a pair of Sennheiser/Massdrop HD6XX headphones for $100. I like the M50's I've been using but over long periods of time they feel pretty claustrophobic so wanted to try some open back phones.

I invested in Neold's Big Al saturator plug-in, as: a) It offered some new sounds that I can't duplicate with others in my collection b) The coding is provided by Reimund Dratwa, of Fuse Audio Labs fame. www.neold.com/big-al

Those are my main headphones these days, for a while now, love them. M50's get used sometimes too.

Had to retire my 2011 iMac for a Mac Studio Max. This thing is unreal. Have it driving a 32" widescreen monitor. My world has changed. So sweet. More horsepower than I'll EVER use.

Oh yeah, also just took delivery of another AML 52F50 (still need to put it together). Had a pair previously, but metering on one is dead and I was never able to troubleshoot it. So, I'm replacing the broken one with this new one so that the stereo pair will be whole again.

Recently, I've picked up an Audioscape V3A, Audioscape EQP-A, and a Chandler RS124, Shure Green Bullet (for vibey amp vocals), Orange OR15, and a Wampler Tumnus. The EQP-A/RS124 combo has been particularly fun to work with.

Have now purchased a few more Zeiss Classic lenses for videography. Once they all arrive, I’ll have the following: 2.8/21mm, 2/25mm, 2/35mm, and 1.4/50mm. I’ll likely only end up keeping either the 21 or the 25, but not likely both. Would still like to add the 1.4/85, and that would pretty much complete the line for my uses.

As the other thread said I sent back the Genelec 8341's and bought the Dynaudio Core 59's. I have to say though, in a personal studio it feels like I've bought a sledgehammer to put up a few pictures. They're great but OTT for sure, ahh well I like them and I hope they'll last me a decade or more..
